I am supposed to be in RI that week for work. I may be taking some me time that evening.

I've got to say it really bothers me seeing people rejoice over their break up. I know that she's a problematic person and all, but they had a 5 year relationship and obviously care about each other. I'm sure this is very difficult for both of them and I can't imagine that seeing people celebrating over the end of something that meant a lot to you is very enjoyable. We really are losing our compassion as a society.

 

True but like, she's reeeeeeeaaaaally not great. But outside of that they are both hurting I'm sure so it's rough to be seeing it everywhere.

 

Idk why people are extra hard on Dunham. She says a lot of dumb things, but she usually apologizes, and realistically she's prob no more (or less) sincere than anyone else in Hollywood trying their hardest to appear woke right now.

Personally I feel that there are far bigger fish to fry than Lena Dunham, but that's beside the point: even if someone is not a good person, that doesn't give you a free pass to treat them like they're less than human. To a certain point - obviously there are some things that cross the line and warrant a loss of compassion.

 

her preaching "believe women" and then instantly siding with the alleged abuser the minute it was someone she knew was the final straw for me tbh. theres only so many times you can be hypocritical, ignorant or just plain offensive before people (rightly) turn on you.

 

She's just so uniquely awful but Jack seems like a very nice person and if I ever said anything that would hurt his feelings I'm truly sorry
