So I just watched The Great Mouse Detective for the first time. It was just ok but man you can tell Vincent Price had so much fun recording that VO.

I watched the Howard documentary after listening to the episode today and was just a wreck by the end. Such a tremendous loss that I can’t wrap my head around.

Fincher confirmed I’d say. Ditto Raimi.

 

Just looked back and didn’t see it mentioned here. Singleton appears to be starting in May after they finish May.

Could definitely picture Raimi leading up to Doctor Strange 2 but don’t see where Fincher fits in to the schedule at the moment

 

Singleton hasn’t been confirmed beyond David logging two of his movies in a week. He’s done that before. Idk why the discord and Reddit set stuff so much in stone so quickly based off of so little. (I’m not saying it’s not him, it probably is, but still).

 

This is just me whining, sorry. I’ve seen most of his movies and outside of Boyz I find him to be an actively bad filmmaker and I’m not looking forward to this series much.

 

On the first Trek commentary Griffin also talked about them covering a director from the early 90s and the transitions he would use that sounded a lot like Boyz N The Hood.

I’m not a huge Singleton fan, but it’ll be good for them to cover another black director and we’ll finally get some dedicated F&F talk

 

I would love Kusama to make a surprise win, but since it seems unlikely, I will be stumping for Carpenter again this year.

 

Twilight might actually be my pick here

Edit: NOES/Final Destination being round 1 is a real personal Sophie’s choice.

 

RE could coast to the final four.

 

Chris Weitz directed New Moon so Twilight is my pick all the way

 

I could see RE/Twilight as the final with Twilight taking it cause of Weitz and then RE happening this year anyway a la Alien.

Huge news from David!! :’) so happy for him and Forky

 

So is David a dad? Or is he going to be? I feel like the gif he posted implied the former, and it would make sense why they’ve been banking episodes now.

 

I feel like he’s being a little vague on purpose since his wife definitely likes privacy, but I also took it to mean the baby is here now and he’s taking time off.
