I have to say, the critical response to this really turned my interest around. Making it a priority to head to a screening next weekend.

 

got my DCU passes to see the film on Wednesday. stoked!

 

I’m seeing it this Friday but I’m going in with low expectations

 

Apparently reviews for this will start going up today at noon

 

I wanna see this this weekend but none of my close friends are free =(

 

I had a ticket for Friday but just noticed I have a work meeting for the same time. Annoying.

 

ign gave it a 8/10

 

Sitting at 82% on RT so far. Probably will go down and sit around the 60-70% range. Huge step up from Suicide Squad that's for sure lol

 

See it alone. Best way to see a movie IMO

really liked this. margot's great, action's nice (not as incredible as you might've heard), humor worked better than what my audience would tell you, and there's never a shortage of energy. some smallish structural/pacing issues, but can't think of any other problems offhand. i'd call this the most fun movie in the dc universe. already want to catch it again

 

nothing after the credits, other than a brief little joke that i thought was a bit funny even if i predicted how it'd end

 

and i laughed WAY too hard at voted for bernie. like, crazy timing there

 

quintuple post but another issue i’m now remembering is the that the other birds of prey aren’t given a ton to do, so if you’re mainly here for MEW or JSB you won’t be seeing them as much as you’d like

 

this was a wild over the top blast. exactly what i thought it needed to be. not perfect, but i had an awesome time with it and recommend for sure. i'll be watching again. Margot Robbie was awesome of course, also could have used more of the others, but i thought it worked. Ewan McGregor chewing all that scenery was a delight haha. sound track was awesome. i personally did not love Zsazz, but he's not bad. they jump around in the story, but never felt it was too much and was a fun story telling device that fits Harley Quinn's brain. not sure if anything i tagged is really spoilery, but given that it's not technically out till this evening i wanted to be safe for anyone who really may not have wanted to know anything.

Edit: also just wanted to add that it was really cool seeing this with other DCU people. there was also a marketing group there or something, but the audience seemed to really enjoy it and laugh at most of the jokes. my only bummer is that LA and NYC got surprise visits from the cast. still cool to see the movie early, but unless you live in either of those cities it feels like stuff like that never happens. either way, great perk for DCU and hope they do more stuff like this.

 

eh, makes sense, it’s not like it’s a Birds of Prey movie or anything
