definitely ridiculously expensive but have never heard a sicker trem/vibrato than what the stereo ones produce, personally. they seem to be remarkably well-built too (which I mean it better be at the price lol). that said, the more I get into the gear world the more desensitized I am to the ridiculous cost of some stuff. especially in the realm of production, shit can get dispiritingly expensive.

 

yeah, i just meant for that price, i feel like you can get something vintage that is going to be better. the way some of the new boutique stuff is priced has always been a little wild to me

especially with guitars. like, why buy a $5,000 novo when you can buy a 60s Strat or LP haha

First album reaction I've seen

I posted something here. He mentioned it in his best music of November column when he reviewed “Time Escaping”

he’s been lower on them than most since Capacity, I don’t think he cares for UFOF or Two Hands, so him coming back on board is cool, especially since he was the one that got me hooked on Masterpiece.

 

Nice long article about the band in Uncut Magazine's Feb 2022 issue which came out digitally today. No big news in it but a lot of discussion about the recording sessions and the band relationships.

Some interesting bits - they had already decided on the Dragon… album title before Adrianne recorded songs and “Promise is a Pendulum” was written while she was at that cabin

I’m so in on this record that I refuse to listen to “Spud Infinity” for the first time without listening to “Change” and “Time Escaping” first.

 

God damn fiddle on “Spud Infinity”. Perfect.

This has been my favorite Adrianne verse and line(s) ever since I’ve heard it, and it’s so nice to have an official version committed to tape

 

“No Reason” is excellent as well. Way prettier than I remember it being live. Some cool production, I love them spreading their wings.

 

Yeah “when I say infinity I mean now” is one of the best lines from someone who creates nothing but some of the best lines

somehow gonna opt to not listen to these two *aggressive barf emoji*

 

Rocks me to the core every time I hear it.

 

Half of the album’s going to be out by the release day!

 

Starting to get very strong White Album vibes from this whole cycle now, this thing is gonna be incredible

 

Seems to be the trend these days

 

Very easily the best band making music right now, and I don't know who even comes particularly close

 

Trying to hold off to release day on anything post change but it's tough

 

I don’t think it’s ever been played live. I believe this one and “Love Love Love” are the only ones they’ve never played. Definitely anticipating it will be one of the prettiest sounding songs on the album though
