this album's really cool

 

Can’t get enough of the back half of this album. Melt hitting hard today.

 

Can't get enough of the whole record tbh. I still think Deep Green is #1 for me after having a bunch of full listens through.

 

I've been averaging about 4-5 full listens a day i think lol

 

Finally got a chance to give this a full listen during a drive and holy hell it's even more gorgeous out on the road.

 

The chorus in Deep Green is easily one of my favorite moments on the album

 

in people lullaby, i always think he's saying "well then youtube came along" haha.

This is easily one of my favorite albums of the year, and I still feel like I’m digesting it.

 

Love love love the singles. Actually love every song probably. But the record as a whole hasn’t clicked for me yet.

 

Forest Green is still my favorite. Feels so good

 

I'm not sure JV's voice has ever sounded more beautiful than it does @ 4:28 into People Lullaby.

Came around on OMDB, parts of it kinda remind me of “Walk It Back” from The National’s last album. I really love how these sound like the perfect integration of their most recent work. Probably helps that those are some of my favorite albums from the past few years hahah

 

So either "Gratitude" or "Hymnostic" is probably my favorite song to come out this year, but I can't pick between the two

 

I obviously loved this from the start but its honestly still growing on me.

 

I think my favorite thing about this album is its rhythm/drumming, just a really cool vibe that really differentiates it from Vernon's other projects. Some of it at times reminds me of like Polynesian/Tahitian drumming.
