Incredibly sorry to read this and hear about your friend. I truly wish you comfort in these few days and hope you can find people to surround yourself with.

I had a similar situation happen 3-4 weeks ago. A good family friend died in a horrific accident and it shook my entire family and town. It was the biggest wake/funeral I’ll ever go to ... literally lines down the street to get in. I found the comfort of being around other friends/family and sharing stories were the only times I felt okay. It sucks. It’s brutal. I’m so sorry.

 

I love Connor's sweater.

 

I'm def gonna be there more for Phoebe. I listened to bright eyes as a youth but only remember a handful of songs so I'm just gonna assume when ppl get extra hyped and I don't know why it'll be a BE song lol

 

I got into both in 2017 and love both

 

Pretty sure I spent a good chunk of my adolescence waiting for Bright Eyes songs to download on Limewire

 

Less sad about missing them in May to see Spanish Love Songs/ Pkew x3 due to the lack of Phoebe songs

I was there and I just want to say I hated the crowd but I also had a migraine so my patience tolerance with human beings was lower but the entire time I was just like wow congratulations for being obnoxious.

I am such a lovely person I wonder why I don't have more friends!!

 

Wow, that's cool. Is this the best post-Bright Eyes thing Connor has done? Honestly I've only listened to this and Desaparecidos

What time have they been going on at these shows?

 

I think they came on around 11 because I felt my soul float out of my body because I am an old woman.

I am hoping/thinking it was just an unusually late show cause omg. I am 90 and I can't handle that. They changed the time twice before the show and then Christian ended up coming on at 9 and side note ppl were rude af talking thru his set. Wtf ppl?? I believe he played for half an hour and then sloppy Jane was like 45 min?

 

Holy hell. That’s nuts. I’m just realizing the Cleveland show says doors at 7, Show at 8 so I was thinking like 10 maybe? Even that’s late as almost every CLE show is 9 (ish) for the headliner.

 

I hate when people talk during the openers, like people are unable to be like oh that's a human being up there trying to do their job

 

god damnit. boygenius did the same thing and the venue is like 45 minutes from my house.

 

Yeah, I live an hour and a half from the venue and when they didn't go on until 11 that was rough. Still, seeing Conor perform Funeral as a punk song, a cover of Title and Registration, and Phoebe screaming during Easy/Lucky/Free, my favourite Bright Eyes song? It was a great show.

 

I see people on their phones during openers a lot but this is one of the first times I've seen ppl just talk thru it. He's already quiet but I was like in the second row and could barely hear him over the chatter. It was legit like an episode of the OC when they'd see a show and just talk over death cab for cutie! People were just kinda loud in general idk if they pregamed for St Patrick's day or what but there was a lot of talking and shouting. And shouting and singing to the songs is totally fine and normal but it was just people like shouting out stupid junk in between songs. I am v uptight apparently lol. But one of the shouters was drunk and right behind me and also used my shoulder as a perch for their phone to record video so between the yelling in my ear and leaning on my shoulder I was done lmao

 

Really hoping they play earlier than 11 in Cleveland. Haha
