Great song and they really knocked the cover out of the park.

I know it’s inevitable but was really hoping for this record we would be able to avoid the “who outshines who” debate. I’d be interested to break it down vocally as to who actuallly songs more, but I think they sound incredible together and when they are both singing are my favorite moments.

Now we just need that Julien & Andy album so all 4 of them can tour with the duo-duo sad squad

Cool, apparently he's in the Mystic Valley Band and collaborated on this album.

So I’m assuming the tour will be set up in the same way the boygenius tour was

Service Road is definitely a standout for me. Has been since my very first listen and continues to amaze me.

Could see that but I could also see them just getting proper opening bands and they do this full record with a couple CO, Bright Eyes and Phobe Solo songs to round out the headliner slot. Conor plays bright eyes stuff on all his solo tours..

Boygenius also started around a tour, while this felt like a more organic project. I’m hoping for headlining set with some solo stuff mixed in and different openers

    This is my favorite thing.

Also, the drum production really stood out when I blasted the album on my car speakers after work.

I had a chance to listen to it on my commute in. This album is really fucking good. I've been a big fan of Conor Oberst's for many years but god damn is Phoebe Bridgers a force of nature. I love that it seems like she's trending in a slightly louder direction musically. SITA is incredible, but I love hearing her get loud a little bit on here. Musically, this doesn't sound like what I was expecting from the two of them teaming up but in the best possible way, and quality wise it absolutely blows my ridiculously high expectations right out of the water.

This rollout was so much fun, and having the album be this damn good is pretty amazing.

Exceeded my expectations. I like how it was a surprise drop. I prefer hearing each song for the first time together. Conor’s been my favorite songwriter for some time, and I’ve adored Phoebe since she started putting out music. Saw boygenius during their tour, and hope to catch this!

My immediate, surface level thoughts were this is the indie folk version of Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino.

Just how the songs seem to be able to come together in some places as a loose concept about this bizarre place, but also can stand alone separate from that if need be.

Should have emphasized the “surface level” part, haha.

I understand where you're coming from, it's actually something that I'm really impressed with about this, it doesn't feel like a lot of "side projects" do, it's very cohesive thematically/lyrically in a way that I wasn't expecting.
