Oh wow. This rips. I don’t know how I feel about it as a singe, definitely not as strong as 30 under 13, but this is a full release band. Got me very excited for the proper full length. Need to catch these dudes live when they tour on this album.

Really like Greg's vocals on this. Feels like they found a sound for themselves.

 

Yeah it’s a testament to the choice they made in a new singer. I don’t think about Keith when I listen to Better Lovers. Occasionally I think “Oh yeah that’s a total etid riff” but I don’t find myself thinking about how it would sound with Keith. This firmly feels like its own thing with a ton of Jordan’s style that made etid so distinct.

Going to agree that I didn't feel like I could imagine Keith over the instrumental this time. It helps that the vibe reminds me of "Milk Lizard" as well.

 

We love a bit of Greg Puciato gargling acid in this house

 

Oh dang, very tempted, I haven't listened to Gouge Away tho so I'm a bit bummed the Dallas date doesn't have Full of Hell

 

Oh shit. FoH on the charleston date is real tempting

no offense to Dillinger but it’s extremely cool to hear Greg doing something like this while they’re out on the nostalgia circuit

 

Was just talking to my friend about this the other night - we’re both excited to see where this goes and happy for Greg to be involved with something that has this much of an immediate success. They must have a lot of faith in the record with some of these venues

 

Yeah they played off broadway here in April and are jumping to Delmar hall half a year later which is about double the size, roughly 350 to 750 capacity jump

 

Ooooh would love to see Full of Hell again. Will probably go to this.
