Oh my god wow. I’m so satisfied and so heartbroken. Right from that truly lovely opening scene with Mike and the minimalistic score it just never stopped giving. Walter’s damning “So you’ve always been this way.” Mike’s questioning “that’s it?” about time traveling for more money, that last long drag of the cigarette against the wall with Kim, the final shot itself, Jesus. What a show.

I’m surprised we didn’t see Skyler. I also think Walt Jr is the is the only main character that was never even mentioned. Clearly try to not box themselves in for the upcoming Jr series

Sooo why did Jimmy confess to everything and get himself locked away for life instead of 7 years? Did I miss something?

I expected some sort of explanation after Kim told him "you had them down to 7 years"

He did what a young Jimmy McGill would have done before he went off the deep end by doing the right thing. He learned that Kim came clean to Howard’s wife and he followed suit.

It was to save Kim. He even said during his confession that Kim has nothing to do with HH’s death. He had a change of mind settling for 7 years once he knew Kim could get herself into trouble.

I guess I totally missed him saying she has nothing to do with it hah. All I heard was him saying in his courtoom confession that she restarted her life after what went down with Howard, which still indicates that she could have involvement. Plus, she already confessed and could still be sued by his widow

because Kim confessed after all the time, he wanted to show her he didn’t completely turn into Saul, there was still some small part of him that was good.

Wonder if any nutjob out there will splice every BB and BCS scene to put them in chronological order.

Not the Fat Todd scenes from El Camino though. Too jarring.

Underrated aspect of the BBverse is the flashbacks always feel so purposeful and not just like an easy way to shoehorn in dead characters and retroactive character development. All the flashbacks in the finale were so good.

I cannot think of a better universe of television that utilized the little details so impossibly well to advance the story.

If Wes Anderson’s hallmark is elite symmetric scenes in his films, then wildly incredible use of details in the scene are the hallmark of Vince and Peter and the whole crew.

I’m so so pleased with how well they stuck the landing. No mess, no fuss. Just a good ending.

I'll take half a point for this with the bus scene.

I'll take a full point for this as I've seen a lot of 'what a show' posts.

That last court session. He mentioned the Kim stuff to try to get her audience so in front of her he could both show that he was opening up to his mistakes while also taking credit for the millions of dollars and Walt’s success. It was, as many of his other confessions, part genuine and part performance. He just wanted Kim to know that he was successful and also (kind of? Accepting responsibility) it was kind of fucked up still. Kind of fucked up he dragged her further into it just to put on a show to try to win her back even a little.

Always self serving. And at his best, only a slight pull back to save face. (Irene, Kim)

it’s sad but that really is who Jimmy’s always been. Chuck certainly perpetuated it by keeping him down some, but Chuck also had a point. They fueled each other with the constant toxic negative cycles.

Kim at the end goes to share the cigarette with him. I think she was too forgiving, but maybe just wanted to give him one last goodbye as it was clear she didn’t return his finger guns and walked away. Leaving him behind.

really glad we got to see that Walt scene. Showing he at that moment was still so wrapped up in his pride and ego. All the time travel questions, including the great one with Mike, all ending back to that book of Chuck’s.

this is a tragedy. And they nailed the landing.
