I'd be interested in Jesse potentially showing up in the Gene era, although that would potentially spoil the great "Jesse driving into the unknown". I think anything with Jesse pre-Breaking Bad era would just be way off because Aaron Paul is just too old to play a 20 year old and it wouldn't feel right if Jesse and Walt knew Saul beforehand, unless it was literally a minor encounter and that might feel like unnecessary fan service. I have no idea how they're going to deal with Jimmy/Saul once he reaches Breaking Bad era, because they can't just show old scenes again. We'll need to see a fresh perspective from Saul dealing with the craziness in his personal life, but from a self contained story point of view it won't make sense if we don't see what he is reacting to. I think it might end with the first time Saul encounters Walt and Jesse, and hopefully we'll also get to see more of Gene as time moves on. I'm confident the writers will do a great job.

This is a separate show. Why do people want/need Jesse and Walt so bad? I really really hope they don't go that route at all.

I don't need either of them at all personally. In Breaking Bad, you really know virtually nothing of Saul outside his office. That's what this show is for. And the show certainly doesn't need them, it's great on it's own. It certainly has enough to handle story-wise outside of the few people whose fates we do know.

I agree that they aren't necessary, but if a cameo is done right, it would be pretty awesome to see them again. Though I personally can't think of anything that would be worth it

I personally couldn't have thought of anything that they did on BB or BCS, so I'm not going to discount it just because I can't think of it

The only request I have is that the final scene in this show leads directly into Saul's first appearance on BB. I like when prequels do that shit.

I always assumed this show would end where Saul enters Breaking Bad. Never in the entire existence of this series did I think they would continue to show what Saul was doing during Breaking Bad.

Also, Jesse and/or Walt showing up on Better Call Saul is a bad idea no matter how it's done. They didn't know any of these people before the events of that show, and clearly had never seen them before (outside of Saul's tv ads and such, of course). And yes, even just doing something as small as a scene where Walt accidentally bumps into Jimmy while walking the other way on a sidewalk would be ill-advised and corny. I really hope Gould and co. realize that they're better than that and don't do it.

Haven't they always said it would take place before, during and after? I agree with you that they don't need to have the during, but we'll see. And I feel complete certainty they wouldn't do something silly like that with Walt lol.

I don't recall them saying it would take place during but I could have just forgotten.

  11. Well aren't the Cinnabon scenes post-BB? I hope we get to see some more post-BB stuff towards the end of the series.

They could say they're going to have Don Draper make a cameo and I'd trust them to do it right

That was probably my favorite episode of the show. It's definitely picking up steam.

This show continues to have 100% of my attention when watching. Everything about it is so carefully constructed I owe it that much.

  18. Jimmy's apology to Chuck is heartbreaking. It's basically Jimmy trying to say "How could you do this to me?" via an apology for his own actions. It was a nice bit of writing and of course acting from Odenkirk.
