I think Miller said he wasn't interested anymore. Great choice though.

I'm gonna pretend I live in a universe where Steven Spielberg and George Clooney teamed up for a Superman movie.

  3. A Spielberg-directed Superman movie would be awesome but would probably not fit the tone of the current DCEU.

    Clooney as Superman?

Yeah. He's one of the most warm and good-natured screen presences of our time, grew up in Kentucky, has a respect for portraying journalism cinematically. The more I think about him in the role the more I love it. Obviously there's no chance of him realistically ever playing a superhero again after his turn as Batman, but I'll pretend that he and Spielberg made a 2003 Superman movie in my mind.

He's directing Part 1, haven't heard anything about him directing Part 2 though

I would still love to see what Brad Bird could do with Superman.

I like him a lot (O Brother Where Art Thou? Is one of my favorite movies) but not sure I could ever see him in the role.

At this point he would play an older Superman though, like if they made Kingdom Come or something

Curious if it gets No. 1 this weekend as well. Competition isn't too fierce, but if it has another huge drop then it might be close.

I would be down to see the rated-R cut in the theater if they released it.

As someone who did really like this film, I'd love to see the rated r cut in theaters. I'm not quite sure how well it would draw in a general crowd though.

Sitting through three hours of this in a theater sounds rough, but I'd consider it, depending on what's added.

Hopefully somewhere in the extra 30 minutes they have Superman and Wonder Woman exchange words.

For sure. Very curious how much it would add to the film.

I wonder if it would get an IMAX release. I'd go see it either way.

And I'm thinking it would add quite a bit to the film. Just that one 40 second deleted scene already helped make much more sense of the movie.

What 40 second clip is this?

Still haven't seen the movie yet in IMAX, so that would be awesome if they did add that to an IMAX release!

On another note, just read something saying that Justice League Part 1 was going to have a more "fun" feel to it.

It's hard to believe any of these news articles coming out about these DC films adding a more "fun" or "lighthearted" vibe. That's what they keep saying about Suicide Squad, but I doubt that's why they are going back and reshooting. If anything, I would say they might be going back to make it darker and more adult compatible; based on the success of Deadpool and even Batman v Superman.

@airik625 thanks - certainly interesting. Was that leaked or just released?

Also, this dropped another 55% this weekend, and based on Sunday estimates will be the #2 film of the weekend behind Melissa McCarthy's The Boss.
