this kinda reminds me of an upbeat cousin to nearer my god

It's certainly got a similarly ambitious streak, and dude is only on his debut album.

 

And is working as a producer on the side....All the talent in the world, can’t wait for his career to unfold.

 

in terms of scope and ambition. it doesn't sound like that album because nothing does really. but its similarly wide ranging imo

 

Anyone know when the vinyl for this will ship?

 

If ordered from the label, TBD October. If it's tomorrow or Friday I'll be shocked.

Absolutely loving this so far. I’m on Far and I kinda get some For Emma vibes from the first half, something I was not expecting lmao but I guess I could say that about every track haha

 

I listened to "Going, Going" and his National covers on damn near repeat throughout the summer. Didn't know he had a full length coming out. This has me excited.

 

If you're only finding out now, listen to the record for the first time with everything in context, it really helps

holy shit I saw the comment above but even then i did not expect these for emma vibes!

 

I knew as soon as I said “For Emma” you’d be summoned lmao I think you’ll really like this get hyped.

The last three song stretch on this really has me fucked up this morning.

 

Of all the influences you can really hear on this, Frank Ocean really feels like the “best” one to sum up the vibe. I get massive Blonde vibes from a lot of this record. Mustang and Boomer definitely aren’t indicative of how this sounds (which kinda bummed me out at first but then I got over it). Kelly Rowland is definitely way more similar to most of the vibe here.

All that to say, definitely in love with this. Gonna have it on repeat all day.
