we saw it from the front when barry was driving it and it looked completely undamaged lol but yeah that’s probably it

 

In an episode full of "holy shit I gotta rewind that" moments, the attempted gun hand off on the freeway took the cake for me. Perfect episode.

 

The realism in the chase scene was great. The third time Mitch showed up I lost my shit. The ending 100% caught me off guard.

 

How many seasons do ya'll think this will go? Saw that they're already renewed for an eight episode season 4. I feel like they could probably go as long as they want given the universal acclaim the show has received, but I really don't see the people behind it as the types run it til the wheels fall off.

 

The cop-out answer is it should run for as long as it takes to tell the story they want to tell. Generally, though, I think 5 seasons is a good number for a show like this. But if Hader thinks it should end with season 4 then that's fine too. Really just depends on where the story goes from here.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if season 4 is the last one

This is 100% a show I would love to have a movie for. As long as Hader directs it.

So much great spin off potential. Hank and Beignet guy would be awesome, and even though he was only in the show for a minute or two, I'd love to know more about used car salesman having an affair guy.

 

lol I love that we are giving beignet guy a spin-off after 3 minutes of screen time.

 

This show is so fucking good at making potentially boring, throw-away parts memorable.

 

Holy shit. This latest episode was incredible.

 

That dirt bike car chase is already one of my favorite car chases ever. The sound design going through the grid lock created such an intense feeling of claustrophobia and loss of control for me. Oh yea, and it was also funny as hell.

So the ending action made up for a lot its flaws, but i disliked the episode overall as i felt the comedy all missed for me. It was pretty cringey, and even for a show that has got silly plenty of times, for some reason, this all just missed the mark. Super cool chase scene, but the first 20 minutes was rough for me from.the beignet guy, to the new show pitch, to Kenneth Goulets bizarre side adventure. Only one of the season tho so far that ive disliked.

This show is really firing on all cylinders this season, my favorite season yet

 

I think its still good but may be the weakest imo, and i kind of had that feeling that it was going to happen, as now that Barry is know to so many people, its getting outlandish with the plot advacement. And i didnt like the ronny/lilly episode as much as most for that reason either, as it took the craziness up to 11. I think it was better when it at least had 1 foot on the ground, now its just going nuts. Barry has gone complete psycho detached of any idea of how to be a human being (like the store voicemail), that he feels like a caricature of the earlier seasons barry. Its what most comedy shows suffer from them when they lean into the weird aspects of a character too hard. Flanderizarion if you will.
And the Vanessa Byers scene was just cringe to me but i get comedy is subjective so cool it worked for most of you.

EDIT: To be clear, I don't mean the show being known to so many people is the problem, I mean when you have a show about a killer or criminal (ala dexter or breaking bad) it runs the risk of the suspension of disbelief being too much as you try to keep the plot exciting and back your way out of 'holes' when the characters misdeeds are uncovered. Barry has always had a comedic undertone to allow them to go ham with the wackiness, but I think there have been some moments this season that have gone too far for me.

I mean Barry is literally unraveling and he’s a sociopath so I expect him to evolve and spiral

 

I get it. Im seeing nothing but love but for whatever reason, this episode had me cringing through the first 20 minutes with the jokes and character development, but then i was jaw dropped with the action and ending so just uneven overall. But ill take being in the minority and give the finale a solid chance to keep me hyed for season 4 as i loved 1 and 2. And hey, im sure Bill Hader will be happy that the fanbase is digging it except for that helloelloallo guy...
