I got bored and made a 2010 albums playlist on Spotify (not 2010s... just 2010). It includes two of the first bands mentioned in this thread (The Forecast and The Felix Culpa), as well as some other bands I haven't thought about in ages + staples of "the scene", so figured it was appropriate to share here. It's been fun throwing this on shuffle over the last week or so.

I used Rate Your Music to create a "genre is or is influenced by pop punk and emo" chart but it obviously missed a few like Angels & Airwaves, so i'm definitely going to be adding a few of these to the playlist!

I have a separate playlist that includes "all genres", which in my world is just adding indie rock, some hip-hop, and some pop.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

I randomly thought of Idiot Pilot this morning. Turned on "Last Chance" and man, do I miss these guys. They had such an interesting, promising sound. It's too bad their comeback album, Blue Blood, flopped hard in 2019.

Not speaking on how they were rated because I don’t frankly remember, but I love that album from The Audition. It’s been forever, so I might have to throw that on later

I just saw The Sleeping last night. Great set. Glad to see them again.

Clearly a lot of people at the show only knew them from one song from Guitar Hero way back.
