  2. Phoenix Mourning were absolutely good. I guess I should post about them in the metalcore thread.

I used to really like this ep by Forever In Fall. No idea where I even found them but I'm pretty sure they put out that one EP and never went anywhere.

Also Belle Histoire is a band I really thought was going to take off but just never did, and then I thought Jane Decker was going to take off on her own after that and that also never happened.

The Higher were such a great band. Loved the singers voice.

    Histrionics was such a jam.

Another one who were a little more obscure but the State Lottery. Absolute killer Springsteen-esq album then only done a few singles and not much in the past few years. When the Night Comes is a classic for me. Would recommend for anyone who loves Titus Andronicus, Springsteen and the Menzingers.

  7. I keep thinking Belle Histoire were ahead of their time, not sonically or anything like that, but they did the pop rock/indie pop/country crossover style so well and I feel like they would fit perfectly next to Kacey Musgraves and the likes. They were soooooo out of place on their label. It was so weird. They should have been marketed to a crowd that actually listens to country right? I have missed a few of Jane's solo releases, but I remember loving what I heard the last time I checked them out.

  8. It's crazy to think she was 16 (or even younger?) when Belle Histoire first formed. She's so talented and I hope she'll find some success in the coming years.

That's a real good point, I never even thought about that. I'm not sure what label they were on, I just remember absolutely loving them, especially the one EP that was like red and orange stripes. I really thought they'd do great. But I sadly I don't think we'll be seeing much from her musically, at least for a while:

  10. I looked it up because I wasn't sure of the name, they were on InVogue whose rooster mainly included generic metalcore bands of that era, like the ones that people would describe as Risecore for their gimmicks and the identical productions. It was... bizarre.

Great for her! I think she still plays shows from time to time, and focuses on her studies and future in the meantime, so I'm glad to see her do well in another field.

Still one of my all-time fav bands. Holding out hope for something new, but even Absent Light was an answered prayer.

their last album was excellent. I know some of the members formed a new band titled The Alphabetical Order Orchestra and issued a debut EP on vinyl. That was like 2 or 3 years ago, but I'm not sure what they've done since.

I could be wrong, but I believe Pentimento are the band in Reggie & The Full Effect.

As far as I remember, they didn't have the money to make another album and didn't want to do another Kickstarter campaign/ask fans for money.
