HA Ice Spice dropped off? LMAO wow that was honestly the only unique addition to the lineup. A new modern act with a shitload of buzz around them.

Also Joeybadass has been replaced with Jack's Distortion (Joey was included in one of the original posters that circulated).

For a festival that meant so much to me/this scene back in the day, this has truly been sad to watch. 1000% getting cancelled in the next month.

 

Also just realized that Sea Hear Now is $100 cheaper than Bamboozle.....a festival with 2 stadium acts (Foos, Killers) and 2 arena acts (Weezer, Greta) on the actual beach is a third of the price of Bamboozle. Hilarious.

Artists are jumping ship, this legit has no chance of happening.

 

This is not a good look. Hope people are saving the screen caps from John D's Facebook ramblings about all this. Dude needs those to be rubbed in his face.

 

And like at this point there is no way to sell/transfer your tickets.

These poor people that trusted him when he asked them too (even though they shouldn’t) are so screwed now.

 

Cancel this disaster and maybe some competent promotor can quickly scoop up Finch, Saosin, Valencia, Boys Like Girls, Say Anything, Mayday Parade and The Spill Canvas and do a 1 day fest at the Stone Pony Summerstage.

woww this is wild. that lineup poster is so bare. this has been so hard to watch. no way this thing happens

 

I cannot believe they just took acts off the lineup without saying anything but with the way this festival is going I absolutely can see them doing that lmao

 

I mean, some festivals do that pretty regularly. Just not usually with somebody who would arguably be one of their biggest artists on the poster.

...And most artists don't have the shit-show of a rollout that Bamboozle has at the moment.

 

it was probably two of their five biggest artists right? If I was listing top 5 it would be Trippie, Boogie, Limp Bizkit, Aoki, and Blackbear

 

I'd even say Ice Spice is/was a bigger name than Bizkit, Aoki and Blackbear. She was literally the only artist on the bill that has current buzz around them. And she hasn't toured yet, so it would've been her first big show since reaching fame.

She probably saw that Boogie, Trippie and Joeybadass were off the bill and was like "ummm my first full set is not gonna be at a parking lot fest with Papa Roach." Probably dropped off to instead do some upcoming Rolling Louds.

 

If this were any other festival with any other rollout... I would assume that those blurred artists were pulled from the poster because they weren't meant to be there initially, or the festival thought they would be able to announce them much sooner than anticipated. Other festivals have done that. Initial announcement has question marks, then once the message is out... They replace it with a version that's just all the announced bands and a "MORE TBA" at the bottom or whatever.

But given that they fucked up and posted two versions of the poster initially, replaced Joeybadass with a puppet, and had another pretty major artist drop... It feels like those blurred line contracts were never signed and they probably dropped for one reason or another.

I'm not cynical enough to assume it was artists going "This seems really fucked, what a shit show" and bailing. But something definitely happened.

I posted this FIFTEEN PAGES AGO because I thought we’d get our third wave and that’d be it, there’d be nothing else to talk about until the week of the show.

But I feel like 4 of the biggest/ most relevant artists dropping off the lineup and the general public not knowing it yet is arguably the juiciest drama of this whole thread.

This is amazing. There is no bottom. The fun never ends. This thread is my version of daytime soap operas.

 

People are not happy in the social media comments, like eventually he has to say something.

 

"But you dont understand, we are building a new scene here" or some shit like that
