Quickly becoming americas got talent: the fest and not in a good way

 

He’s responding to my comment from FIVE DAYS AGO lmao. As if he has nothing more important to be doing

I don't know if "stole our announcement" is a joke or if he really means that they were contractually blocked from announcing an artist. But it also doesnt help that he admitted in a comment that they couldnt announce a headliner last week because they had an arena show nearby that week.....he just seems really bad at contracts. Like how in 2012 his main headliner (Foo Fighters) ended up being scheduled earlier in the evening so that they could perform on SNL that night. How did their performance contract allow that? I've never seen a festival headliner go on with the sun still shining and then finish 2 hours before the festival ended.

 

Oh god he replied to another comment I made. He thinks that Blink is the only act on Adjacent that the Bamboozle crowd cares about.
It also looks like hes replying to like every single comment with criticism from the past 5 days. I'm banging my head against a wall right now.

Some noteworthy things I’ve seen him say

1) he’s saving all our comments (possibly to display at the fest and laugh at how wrong we all were)

2) they didn’t book MCR (but he said “2024”)

3) he says presale is close to selling out (I call BS)

 

Imagine the amount of copium necessary to believe people are clamouring for the likes of saves the day and attilla but don’t have any interest in Paramore, Jimmy eat world, knocked loose, coheed, etc lmao

even if he went out and booked fall out boy or green day or someone to that extent, there would be an enormous amount of crossover between the people buying tickets to see those bands and the people interested in adjacent

A really good way to calm this down would be to just admit they fucked up and hint/tease a bit about what they have coming...

Rather than going, y'know, all "you'll be sorry when I'm older and famous and get to finally meet that really hot model girlfriend that I have that lives in Canada" on everybody.

The replies today now have me convinced he's got zilch for this Phase 3 (which is apparently supposed to be announced next week?!!)

They only put 1 ticket up for presale, so it's always been close to selling out.

He must have, or he must THINK he has, one hell of a phase 3 to be talking with the confidence he has right now. But unless he has like Metallica or Halsey or Nine Inch Nails with some crazy reunion like Yellowcard or Something Corporate, he should really just, and I use his own words here, "put up or shut up."

He responded to someone's comment about the terrible rollout with "this is how we always did it more than 10 years ago!" Which just goes to show he's totally missing the point. The festival world is not what it was 10 years ago. In 2005-2009 my only options were Bamboozle or Warped Tour. Now every year I have like 20 festivals in the country to choose from, with half a dozen being in the tri-state area.

 

Honestly, this isn't at all how they did it 10 years ago. They used to be like "Hey kids! We're posting some hints! Here's a haiku with 12 bands in it! Have fun finding it!"

This is just inane yammering with little to no context.

 

He probably has SoCo or Yellowcard (maybe both), but them playing Riot (Yellowcard) and WWWY (both) takes the shine off his bookings. It's all sour grapes for him.

He was pissy when WWWY 2022 got announced and laughed at Adjacent because he knows they got all the bands he either already had or really wanted.

 

Along with confirming no MCR he's also confirmed no Green Day. But really did anyone have their expectations set that high at this point?
