It's definitely up there, despite the spider line

  2. I don't come back to TTWTWM that often these days but on the occasions I do I still really enjoy most of it. The production is awful though and probably killed any chance of it having more of a lasting value.

Cut Me Open mostly just sucks though

I love Cut Me Open. Still gives me vibes of the Tigers Jaw split/Only Boundaries. I'll admit it is a little all over the place, but I think that's what I enjoy about it.

Prob the only Yip record where the production bothers me.
The guitars on some of the songs just get lost.

I will never understand any complaints with TTWTWM because it is flawless and I love it!!! In all seriousness, that album will always be my peak B&C record I think. Back of Your Head is my fav. Also, I like the spider line in Notice Me... it sticks out to you because it's super lame but it is also just creepy and fits the overall vibe of the song to me.

I put TTWTWM on the other day, and I have to say it has aged better than I thought.

Still prefer LWM, and the TJ split. Though Enemy in particular stood up well. Plus the obvious cuts(Lost Your Name, TR, Reflection, Keepsake).

  7. Jon posted some clips of him singing over beats on his IG story. Obviously could be (probably is) nothing, but I could totally see him toying around with releasing some more hip hop oriented stuff on his own. Looks like his account has been inactive for like 4 months up until now too.

Haven’t listened yet, but Jon is a great vocalist. Didn’t know that was Wicca phase dude. He did a good job on the new Antwon album tho

They tweeted a week or so ago “youre gonna wanna come see us on this next tour with thrice and circa”

Would be a shame to see them go

If they do Light We Made is a killer record to go out on.

Wouldnt be surprised but would be real sad if they broke up now. I feel like they have a ton of unrealized potential

their philly tours are always packed but thats Philly so it sort of makes sense.. I felt like they were just picking up steam when I saw them last year, only thing.. fans didn't seem to be into the new stuff, crowd died whenever they played anything from this record.. that takes a lot out of a band...it's hard to find inspiration but I also think artists need to give their albums time to grow.. it takes time but usually fans eventually come around. or you make new fans who appreciate the type of album you put out.

We reach for the longest shadow

Light We Made was generally well received, it's just a different vibe to hear that at a concert compared to I Tore You Apart In My Head. People who are enjoying both songs aren't going to react the same way to both IMO.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me at all if they broke up. I thought that was a possibility before LWM, so I'm just glad we got that and the Slow Heart songs. Either way, we probably won't hear from there for a while after this tour I would imagine.

Would be a bummer for them to break up after releasing what is far and away their best record

Didn't they make a comment sort of like this towards the end of the last album cycle too and people thought they were breaking up, but instead they just went quiet for a while and recorded Light We Made?

Was just about to say this. They said it a ton on that tour with Circa they did before they went dark and recorded LWM.
I heard Jon on a podcast at some point talk about how he doesn't exactly enjoy touring, and it's been tough to get through as a band, or something of the sort.
