Didn't see a thread for these guys. I've recently discovered them and I've obsessed this last week.

What are some of your favorite songs by these guys?

 

Salt, Dancing On Quicksand, Heartbreaker, Off She Goes come to mind off the top of my head.

1st album had higher highs, but the 2nd album is more consistent to me

 

Underrated band for sure

 

Yeah, I have to get their first album on vinyl...not only bc the music rules, but the album art and colorway......so sweet. Need that on a t-shirt too haha.

Nice, dig the new logo. Hope I like the next one more than Disappear Here, which didn’t stick with me at all outside of like 3-4 tracks

 

Disappear Here was very clearly a direct continuation of their first album with some minor, minor tweaks. And that’s fine! These guys are such good songwriters they can honestly just keep doing what they’re doing and I’ll be happy for quite a while

Different, undecided on how I feel about it, but I'm not mad at the direction they're heading.

 

It’s ok. def on a downward trend for me since the debut.

 

That’s funny bc it’s the exact opposite with me. MT>DH>L&P

mystic truth was definitely my AOTY last year. I’m a sucker for that kind of indie pop rock.

 

Mystic Truth has grown on me. I don't love it as much as their first two, but they pushed that sound as far as it could go, so I appreciate they're trying new things!

 

LP and DH were just so much better to me. I probably need to listen to MT more, let it grow on me.

 

I was just kind of bored with MT. I felt like it was...lethargic?

@indecipherable @Jusscali I can't really get into it. I don't care for the new song either upon first listen. I really liked their sound on the first two records; MT just bored me.
