That's fair. They certainly aren't as much as the others, mixing space rock and stuff in there, but I think there are definitely Britpop elements

Pulp were the best Britpop band. Pitchfork posted a good write-up on Different Class not long ago actually.

I would say Suede are kind of overlooked by comparison as well, but it seems like they've started to gain favour again recently.

 

The anecdote I turn to that summarily defines PATD is that he went on a radio acoustic show to promote his new album and opened with fucking I Write Sins

 

The fact that Panic! has lasted this long is kinda crazy to me. When is the last time they had an actual hit?

Yeah I was in a restaurant the other day and they had a random mix of pop songs on and they played two newer PATD songs. I hear him on the radio enough to know that PATD is doing well. I feel like Brendon is a very talented vocalist but sometimes the way he sings now gets on my nerves. Like it's too much going on and has a shrill theater kid thing happening idk. I think I have extremely sensitive ears tho cause I think a lot of vocalists sound shrill and nobody else ever brings it up lol.

Listening to Braid's Closer to Closed EP again, why do Braid fans not like this again? Its wonderful

 

I've found it hard to like Braid for some reason. I've listened to Frame and Canvas several times but it doesn't click with me.

 

Frame & Canvas is great but there kinda lowkey trash outside of that

I dunno, I really couldnt get into anything else after it. I mean, I dont hate those other albums, just didnt like them.

But IATM is one of my all time favorite albums.

 

I think CTTM and EIIKM are both better and I love them so much. IATM is a great album though.
