I haven't got into turnstile yet. Sometimes I'm late to the game tho and things will randomly click like 3 years later and then I'll be sad I missed all the previous album/tour cycles

 

Said it in the Blink thread but god you guys are missing out. Truly. If they come through your area, go see them and I think it will click

Going to a blink 182 show just to see the opener is the cool thing to do folks, ESPECIALLY if it's Turnstile.

I feel bad for any band that has to follow Turnstile. (Ok, MCR gets a pass)

I was supposed to see Blink at a benefit show in 2005 but they dropped and then broke up a few days later. It was simply not meant to be.

 

I tried to get into Turnstile. I don't hate them, but I do not understand the hype.

 

they're jock jams. it isn't that complicated. people love smooth brained loud rock.

 

People love riffs

 

I like a good riffing, but I have also had some difficulty latching onto Turnstile. My feeling when listening to Glow On was that it was okay. I dunno, it was kind of a blur.

 

Blink 182 is infinitely better than Turnstile, and I enjoy Turnstile. The revisionist history that blink wasn’t a great pop rock band is silly. They craft great pop songs and are the best to ever come out of the genre. They had almost 4 straight albums of no misses, save the joke songs and some boring ones on Untitled

 

there are four or five tracks on glow on that's better than blink's best songs, and it's their second best album

If Turnstile wrote a song as good as blink’s best, people would know who the fuck they were lol

 

no one knows this band that just opened for a band bigger than blink and is headlining their own huge tour you're right

 

Not actually trying to be part of this discussion, but when you stop to think about how there are over 7 billion people in the world, a million people really doesn't seem like a whole lot, honestly.
