Beverly Hills is one of Weezers best. America is bottom/mid tier Menzingers (and also still better)

 

i liked weezers early shit but they really lost me once dexter joined blink. last couple efforts sounded bland and uninspired making me think the creative energy was being spent elsewhere

It’s not as bad as I thought at first but it just feels like them on autopilot. It mostly feels like store-brand versions of songs they already wrote.

 

Strain Your Memory and Portland are very good. The rest, eh

 

I love that Menzingers song.
