On most days, my favorite Christmas song is “Ho Ho Hopefully” by The Maine. Genuinely wonderful song.

bad company is indeed. free is very very good and kossoff is a top tier guitarist.

 

It’s weird because the big difference between the bands is Mick Ralphs a primary guitarist. And Mott the Hoople rules. So you’d think Bad Company would be better

 

i think rodgers just saw the reality that free, who made pretty incredible and understated blues rock, was best known for a big dumb rock song. and he just leaned fully in that direction with the writing. dude was on top of the world and not listening to anyone.

The Goo Goo Dolls is a great band

 

My brother mixed monitors for the Goo Goo Dolls on tour one or two summers ago and I guess they were so difficult to work with that he was the second or third sound guy they hired for a single tour. He said he’d never work with them again, lol.

That's inevitable for any colloquialism. There are only so many ways to say something is good. Slaps. Is a banger. Is a bop. They all get overused because we all listen to a ton of music.

 

If something rips though how else are you supposed to describe it?

 

Slaps, knocks, bops, rips, shreds, smacks, spanks, bumps, goes, bangs, fucks, whips/whips ass, rules, rocks, owns

That’s all I can think of off the top, but lol what an aggressive group of words. I like how society collective decided “whips” was the only one that needed that extra “ass” sometimes. Imagine someone being like “wow the new Soccer Mommy track fucks ass” lol like jfc sir this is a Wendy’s
