@nohandstoholdonto come back and say that The 1975 are better than The Beatles again. All is forgiven.

Come on, nothing is as bad as that take. That's in the Chorus.fm bad take hall of fame.

I just can’t imagine mustering that much energy to care about the Beatles anymore

I'm far from their biggest fan, but The Beatles are probably still influencing bands to this day. Whether they're good or not is irrelevant. Probably influence a hell of a lot more than NIN. And that's not a dig on NIN, just how big a band The Beatles still are.

I mean I would say NIN influenced a ton of acts. You don’t have Yeezus without NIN, and you don’t have modern hip hop without Yeezus

you don’t have the last ten years of film scores or OPN/tim hecker/etc. without Reznor

I can't say I'm too interested in playing Influence Top Trumps but any band suffers drastically in comparison with The Beatles in that regard. It's not even worth discussion.

TBH I reckon Eno is a bigger influence on them than Reznor

the last two collabs between OPN and the safdies are extremely influenced by Ghosts, but it’s splitting hairs. everyone who makes music in that lineage is influenced by Eno, yes.

the beatles and NIN are both good and highly influential
