Didn’t care for Nirvana at all growing up. KROQ played Teen Spirit every day it felt like. It wasn’t until bands like ETID and The Chariot and Converge started name checking them that I was like hmmm even these heavy ass bands respect them maybe i should check them out.

 

I don't believe I ever got that far. I kind of fell off the boat after the all the members left and formed Tantric. Was it essentially a solo project at that point?

I never understood how the Spindoctors got popular.

 

Marcy Playground is a great band that got overshadowed by a one hit wonder, although I still like the song.

Their first three full lengths are great.

because Two Princes and Little Miss Can't Be Wrong are legendary songs. That's it though.

Yeah it was Meeks and additional musicians. I think it holds up very well though.

It’s still on my shelf. Tantric’s discography is long since sold off to a used CD store.

 

The funniest bit on this site is where people come into a thread called “Unpopular Music Opinions” and get mad about people expressing opinions that seem out of line with conventional thinking

 

I think the only opinion that has ever made me mad on this site is when @phaynes12 said that Hum was diet Chevelle

The problem with Chevelle is that you can listen to Chevelle or you can listen to the much better bands that influenced Chevelle.
