First off, plenty of people care about PBC, thats silly to say. Secondly, Clash Battle Guilt Pride blows Death Chorus out of the water. Thats coming from some one who enjoys both records very much.

is it silly? are they not the band that rarely if ever headlined a tour before breaking up relatively early in their run?

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I personally think its silly. Clearly people care about them since they're being talked about. Even if they didn't headline much or had a short lifespan as a band, people did and can still care about their music. Though I'd argue that 4 albums, a live album, and EP isn't a bad run over a span of 9 years or so.

Is it unpopular to say Weather Diaries is my favorite Ride record?

  15. Clash Battle Guilt Pride is an essential punk album of the 2010s and was head and shoulders above the contemporaneous albums put out by the punk and pop-punk bands PBC opened for

Death Chorus is probably their second best album though it’s way too much of a Saves The Day clone pop punk album and dropped a lot of the interesting things PBC did on CBGP

  16. Since this is the unpopular opinions thread I guess I’ll say that CBGP is the second best punk album of the 2010s so far, behind only On The Impossible Past

I will concede that my original statement was slightly exaggerated for lulz. More truthfully, Jane Doe is the only Converge album I really engaged with front to back.

As for Axe to Fall, I really dig the opening track and the Tom Waits impression near the end. That's about it.

I dunno - I wish I was more into them.

    Random unpopular opinions regarding Hardcore:

Code Orange haven't been good since the Cycles EP.
Turnstile are cool but nothing special, the hype is undeserved. They're a tshirt brand.
    Vein are cringeworthy.

Code Orange is boring as hell and it's annoying how pushed they are by a bunch of sites/publications

I never got the deal with Code Orange either. Not bad by any means, but nothing special.

Anyone else a fan of The Locust? I feel like they get overlooked and are barely ever talked about. Justin Pearson runs Three One G Records and The Locust and a handful of others have made some incredible punk/grindcore/whatever albums over the last 10-15 years.

No Closer to Heaven is a much better album than Sister Cities (Wonder Years albums).

Agreed. Though I'd extend their period of being good a bit further to include the Full of Hell split.

And two nice hot takes with the other statements I LOVE IT.
