i liked evans blue in 2008

 

I never had a nu metal phase or was ever really exposed to it very much aside from a few crossover hits so I have no hot takes on that genre. idk I was too busy bumping S Club 7 and Spice Girls in that time so it wasn't rly on my radar and I've never cared to go back and check it out.

 

I just googled S Club 7 and they are now SC3 with only 3 of them and I don't know if I care for this threesome reunion!

 

it's not S Club 7 without Rachel Stevens, the only essential member

 

I read the article in the Sun (lol) about how other members didn't wanna reunite unless everyone did, but then those three were like screw it and did it anyway and I'd be bitter af lol no loyalty!!

 

I 100% had a crush on Rachel. Legit the only reason I even remember that show lol

 

hide nothing was by far Further Seems Forever's best album (rip jon) and remains one of the greatest emo/rock albums of its generation

 

Oh man, I LOVE this album. "Light Up Ahead" remains one of my favorite songs of all time, regardless of genre.

 

i dont think there's a bad track on it.

 

25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago has one of the best guitar solos in a rock song. Not really unpopular but it doesn’t get talked about enough.

Terry Kath was an incredible guitarist. They just weren't the kind of band people think of when they think "guitar hero" so he goes under-appreciated.

 

Honestly, a lot of my favorite guitarists, while obviously having their fans, suffer a bit from not being in the type of rock band people associate with "great guitarists": Maury Mulheisen, Justin Hayward, Neil Giraldo, etc.

 

The Wonder Years are back :(

Going to see ATL at their Birmingham date. They are playing SWIR to open, then Creeper are playing, followed by a "normal" All Time Low set. I'm thinking of not watching the last set and just getting drunk because I think everything post-Dont Panic is utter trash.

 

I realize that this is dumb and senseless and there have been countless examples in my life of why I shouldn't do this, but if a band name is like "The (insert plural noun here)" then I'm way more likely to sleep on listening to them. The Swellers, The Menzingers, The Black Keys, and The Technicolors are all examples of this.

Stuff like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Ramones etc. doesn't really apply though since they were prestigious and unavoidable bands well before I even started actively listening to music

 

lol I used to do this and still do sometimes. I did listen to The Menzingers' new album last year and really enjoyed it. I find that I am far more annoyed by bands that use the following format: Margot & The Nuclear So & So's, Marina & The Diamonds, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Whoever & Whatever The Fucks, etc. Just get to the point
