seeing Nine Inch Nails in a 1500 capacity room and Beyoncé in a 3000 capacity room are probably my biggest brags

 

Saw The Wonder Years play at a local church and there was like 50 people there. The Upsides had just come out so they played like 5 songs from it. That was cool

 

I saw fun. in a 200 capacity room which is the best I have.. also one of the best shows I've ever been to.

 

Sitting in a circle with 20 people listening to Tristan Prettyman was up there, too.

 

this reminded me that I saw Duncan Sheik with like 10 people

 

I think I'd prefer to be in an overcrowded room, so I could really be on theme and barely breathing.

Or seeing 808s and Heartbreak in full but it was a large venue

 

Now this would be a real treat. I never got to go to this show but there's a video on YouTube of The Format playing Benson Hedges (and also calling out PATD and FOB) and that seemed like it would be a really cool memory too.

 

My brag show was My Chemical Romance and Story Of The Year, free show in the UConn student lounge

 

I think it was their first set of shows in the UK and they played every song on Aim & Ignite. I showed up early because I was used to queuing and I was the first person there by a few hours. Bumped into Nate while I was waiting with a slushie, ha.

 

saw Underoath at a church with maybe twenty other people

 

I remember seeing MCR before they blew up with Three Cheers. The show was From Autumn to Ashes, Recover, MCR, Taking Back Sunday. Barely anyone there, TBS was just about to blow up. Was an amazing show. Later I met Mikey and Gerard and they said I had a cool sweater. 8th/9th grade me thought that was the coolest.

 

at my 150 cap show Matty seemed genuinely shocked the whole crowd was singing chocolate haha he like stumbled over the first line because of it

 

I had the best luck with a best friend who always seemed to know which bands would blow up and we'd somehow luck out and see them right before they hit it big. Seeing bands with less than 100 people is always such a blast.

 

Have lots of good "big artist/small venue" brags but maybe my favorite brag is seeing Weatherbox play American Art in full with definitely less than 10 other people in a hole in the wall art gallery. Cause most Box fans would prob kill for that lol

 

i dont hate them (1975) as much as i hate any fans that tell me ive got bad taste for not liking them. like what you like; just leave me out of it. i also hate the lead singer's hair.

 

Can't imagine caring about a musicians hair cut. If I did care I could never listen to JV again cuz all his is gone :/

 

My cool show brag is getting to see Circa Survive play a free show in the parking lot at the King Of Prussia mall for Journey's Backyard BBQ in 2012

The Chariot in a small warehouse was fun

I can't think of many others that stand out as far as abnormal/"before they were big"

 

Also Katy Perry at warped tour? Or is that the opposite of a cool brag show?
