Ariana's last album is great

 

ariana is amazing
demi is so incredibly talented but her producers are using her in the wrong way
never thought selena would be good but the last album bangs

 

every Ariana album is good

she's quickly becoming one of the most dependable popstars

(shhhhhhh Focus didn't happen)

 

I'm not very enthusiastic about many of the newer mainstream popstars tbh. I need someone to come and shake it up.

 

I feel as though this is neither unpopular nor popular but the DNCE album from last year is leagues better than either of Nick Jonas' solo albums

 

Dua Lipa is the next big thing trust me

Welcome to getting old. Haha. Gotta dig down and find a well of that lost enthusiasm somewhere.

 

It's why Harry styles keeps me young lol. He's one of the few.

 

I've tried, and I just really can't get into the 1975. I definitely get why people like them, and I think they've got some real bangers (Love Me, Chocolate, The Sound, etc.), but as a whole I can't get through either of their albums. I just saw them on Saturday and it just kind of dragged on for me. The bookends of the set were fun, and I do enjoy Somebody Else, but I could've easily cut 30 minutes of the show and not felt like I missed anything.

 

you're not alone. i dig somebody else but the rest just goes right over my head. for the longest time i didn't realize how big they are and i asked myself why does jason keep posting about this band hahah

 

Haha yea I definitely get the appeal, like it sounds good to me. It just doesn't excite me or emotionally connect with me. It's kind of a bummer cus I wish I could be in on the hype haha

 

If The 1975 didn't overstuff their albums so relentlessly hard I think I would like them a lot more than I do. They have some fun tracks but the times I've tried to sit through a full album of theirs became one hell of a test of my patience (which I failed).

 

I mean they're stuffed with incredible songs so I don't mind it.

I guess as we're in the unpopular opinion thread...

The latest album has that absolutely wonderful middle stretch from "Please Be Naked" up to and including the title track, where it's brilliant - it's the best music of their career (plus Menswear) by a long shot. Absolutely love all those songs.


I can't stand the rest of the album though, I think there's bits on the rest of the record that are pretty close to atrocious. I think they're a rubbish pop band and their best stuff by far is when they're moving away from those sort of tracks.

for the amount of songs it has im still really surprised at how solid it is, was even more surprised considering i never liked their first one at all

 

They're the best pop band making music right now.

 

It's so much better than the first record, and there are things I enjoy about it, but I'm not totally on board with them yet.

I really like "Paris"

 

I think it's intersting, for me anyway, how they wobble between being brilliant and awful. I'm not sure I can think of any other band with such a big gap between their best and their worst songs.

 

Like, what do you even find bad about their songs?

 

I think the worst song on that album is Love Me and it's fantastic.
