Both are so played out at this point that I usually skip those and never seek them out, but I try to remember what I thought of them before they were singles and overplayed and I liked them, even though they weren't my favorites on the album.

 

I could get behind that, depending on what other bands you consider in the same scene.

 

Foreverly is the only thing Green Day related I can tolerate. Billie Joe did a great job with that.

 

I have to rescind this statement, since Futures technically came out after American Idiot. Still, classic record.

 

My hot take is that I think AI is better than Futures. Before I am hanged, let it be known that I like Futures a lot too

 

I don't think they're that far apart in terms of quality. Futures means more to me, but they are both damn fine rock records.

 

They're like the only songs on that album I really like, ha.

 

Since they are both title tracks as well, I'd take the song Futures over AI though.

 

It's so hard to even properly judge American Idiot imo because it is so overplayed and such a product of its time

 

I really dislike the title track on AI and Holiday.

 

Their last two have been good.

 

Yes, "Futures" is the better song.

Not to throw any shade to Weird Al, but absolutely yes.

 

AI is good but it's not in the top three Green Day albums.

 

To be fair though, I'd take Lonely Island over most rap though. Part of what makes them so great is take the comedy out of it and they still do great songs, beats, flow ect.

 

I don't hear a lot of people talk about "Not Without a Fight" but I think it's one of NFG's best records. Mark Hoppus did an amazing job producing, too. I'm not sure if I like his work on "NWAF" or "Commit This to Memory" more, actually.

Not Without A Fight is one of the worst albums I've ever heard by one of the worst bands I've ever heard

 

Coming Home is their worst by a country mile imo

 

Not Without a Fight is a Four Year Strong record

 

AI isn't great overall but it does have letter bomb so
