I think he's a got unique voice and delivery, coupled with great lyrics. On top of all of that, his tunes seem real genuine.

Hard for me to dislike that.

 

there;s something refreshing about Craig's singing abilities or lack thereof, same with the dude from Cake, obviously Hold Steady has better songs

The Window is one of the best songs they've written.

The Craig Finn/Hold Steady hate happening in this thread is supremely uncool.

 

I can't tell you how many times I've tried getting into Japandroids. I don't think I've ever wanted to like a band as much, but then had the exact opposite effect. Not a single note is up my alley. So I've never got the hype around them.

 

Tried to listen to Jeff Rosenstock today and couldn't make it through a song. Yikes

Talk about "cheesy"

 

He plays a tele deluxe tho and i love mine so maybe ill give him (or one of his bands) another shot

I have no issue with Bomb the Music Industry, but fuck me, his solo stuff is so hard to get through.

I remember having this discussion on AP so I already kinda know it's not really unpopular, but it really bugs me when bands refer to their fans/crowds as "kids"

 

Relistened to the 3 Trust Company albums and they should have definitely been bigger. Sucks they faded away, twice.

Edit: it was Disney extreme skate adventure. That was my shit when I was like 9 or 10 probably

 

I loved THPS, Skate and Thrasher but never heard of Disney Extreme Skate Adventure. Googled it and the cover has Tarzan, Buzzlight Year and Simba skating. Now all I can think is my favorite Disney characters skating to nu metal and I love it.
