I am also in the boat where I don't like Acceptance really. I enjoy Aaron Sprinkle's cover of So Contagious more than I enjoy the original, or any other song performed by Acceptance.

I've never really understood why northstar gets so much praise lavished on them when they're not much better or different than all the other bands who came up around the same time who get shit on. It's so weird to me

 

o shit yea. only problem is the sequencing with numb being the closer but i don't think people listen to lp for perfectly sequenced albums

The other day I randomly heard Blurry by Puddle Of Mudd and I realized I like that dumb little harmonics riff in the verses. I was also like profoundly stoned though so idk but I was having a good time with it

I feel like that's for their later discography. Northstar disbanded before then.

Doesn't help that their live show can be ehhhhhhhhhh.

back in the day a local band blew up by pretty much ripping off "MakeDamnSure". it became a huge drama. the lead singer said they were friends with TBS so it was all cool, but Adam and Fred said they had never heard of them and made fun of them.

turns out the ripoff version was kind of better than the original lol never cared about TBS outside of that

 

and they write horrible fucking songs.

 

It's as shitty as it ever was.
