It's understandable and I think as a rapper he did get better between 10 Day and Acid Rap, I just prefer the 10 Day songs.

 

10 Day has more nostalgia for me so I like it the most and I'd venture the same is for Dusty considering some of his nostalgia is shared with me lol

All 3 are amazing though

 

Yup exactly haha, 10 Day + that BenZel song give crazy amounts of nostalgia

 

I liked the angry songs off lemonade and then when she forgave him I was like yawn

 

I feel like people forgot about the Nico Segal/Donnie Trumpet album which is sad because it's great

Lemonade is one of those albums where I really enjoy it but rarely listen

 

shes fine, her albums are usually pretty good i just dont think it should be topping every list this year. i felt largely the same about self-titled

 

I felt like s/t was perfect and then time wore it down and I grew into the same stance as you and I completely love Lemonade so maybe my opinion on that will change with more time too haha who knows

I like about half of Impossible Past but I didn't like the last one at all.

 

I've only enjoyed the two most recent Menzingers records and loving thir singles off the new one. Their earlier stuff just didn't do much for me at all

 

Menzies are dope, baby. Although Rented World was a bit of a letdown

 

I think Rented World is better than OTIP, so I guess that's my unpopular opinion for this thread.

 

yeah I think OTIP is a masterpiece and the last one was just good

 

Their only release that I don't think is fantastic is Chamberlain Waits and even that is still firmly in "good to great" territory

 

OTIP is a masterpiece! A Lesson...and Hold On Dodge are underated - so good!

 

I've seen a pushback lately of people like psuedo-defending Nickleback and like I understand people can be unessecarily mean about it...but like they write songs about doing coke off strippers - I'd be a lot more sympathethic if there songs were more like 'How You Remind Me' and not about road head haha

I've always been a sucker for packaging and if a pop artist is horribly styled and has an image I think is unappealing it does impact the way I feel about their music sometimes. Like everything they do gets that air of tackyness. Which I think is silly cause obv you can be talented and have no taste and it doesn't impact the music probably except where is your team. It's rare circumstances where I'm like omg ur image is so corny and cheap and now I feel like ur music is corny and cheap too and a lot of the time I legit do think their music is but then I'm like what if it's the bad marketing making me think it is and it's just all in my head. But then I think it isn't in my head? Idk idk apparently I'm a marketing sucker.

 

I only defend nickelback in the sense that people use shitting on them to signify that they are Hip and Cool in the most uninteresting way possible

 

Thats fine - I see it all over the place. I'd rather be a try hard then defend that tho haha

 

Also if we're talking about annoying music trends (maybe a better way to phrase that) can we please talk about white dudes that listen to one pop artist and thats it? Honestly that one pop artist is Carly Rae Jepsen 95% of the time and like absolutely no shade on that - she's so good. i got no beef with CRJ.
