and heaven forbid I try to talk about one of my favorite musical artists on a music forum, and be mildly disappointed how lesser-known/underappreciated they are on said forum lol.

Neither have I but I was aware that the spelling of "Geoff" was pronounced Jeff. I've also never had to speak Geoff Rickley's name to anyone, but I always pronounced it as "Gee Off" in my head.
