You do realize this entire thread is filled with people responding to each others unpopular opinions, right? Isn't that the point of the thread?

 

Constructive responses are different than "this is a stupid reason" or "lol this is dumb imagine being this dumb"

 

Wasn't trying to make the dude feel dumb. Just can't imagine ***~~*myself*~~ *** missing out on some great tunes because my beliefs don't align with somebody else's.

To be honest mate, I think it's fairly obvious why it's a really stupid reason not to listen to someone's music.

 

I don't listen to skrewdriver because of their beliefs.

 

Strong asshole atheist here. I stopped letting myself care about an artist's religious belief a while ago. If I didn't listen to a band because of whatever they believed in, I would've missed out on SOOOOOOOOOO much great music. But to each their own.

 

I can understand hearing about an artist with strong religious belief who supports a church like Mars Hill though and wondering if there's homophobia implied in the music and having that make the person shy away from it

Not saying that's the case but it's a lot more of an understandable thing than it's being made out to be
