You REALLY can't imagine anyone caring about the biggest mainstream band from the scene probably ever? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm gonna call bullshit

Jake I'm saying that a band for the longest time was a "regional" band for me and that after became a bit of a "joke" band is surprising to me that they're so big, yes. Sorry if this offends. They never, even in Chicago, seemed like the biggest mainstream band in the scene until they reformed and started getting songs on ESPN every week of the CFB season

Where were you while "sugar", "dance dance", and "thnks fr th mmrs" were all over the radio, and, well, everywhere else?

Yeah they were huge back in 06/07. I can think of few bands from the scene that have even been on that level honestly.

They've been huge since sugar, and I just thought it was common knowledge that a lot of us especially on this website have been listening to them since then and kind of grew up with them. Who from the scene was bigger up until their hiatus? Besides like, blink

Good for them for having that second wind of success that eluded a lot of bands of their ilk

Them and panic outlasted everyone from that era and both are as popular as they've ever been if not more so. It's wild

Brendon became like a vine star and their last album has been doing really well apparently. The winter tour they just announced is in arenas

I prefer the 1653 version of "Ma Jolie" better than the album version. I actually spent upwards of 5-7 years listening to Right Now... and thinking that the old versions of Ma Jolie and Campfire were the real versions. Thanks, shitty torrent

I get so tired of discussing "the scene". Cause it really just refers to pop punk music that already had its peak in the early to mid 00s... which means we're willfully ignoring all the progress popular music has made since then to keep a 10 year old gimmick alive

Chorus.fm isn't even really as much of a "scene" oriented website as AP was

I mean people talk about both on here, very few threads have high discussion of "scene" bands for sure. Threads about Bon Iver and Kendrick Lamar are going to fetch more replies than most "scene bands".
