probably not an unpopular opinion because it was acclaimed upon release but i feel like weezy's discography gets indiscriminately shit on a lot - tha carter 3 is a legitimately great album

 

tha carter 3 is considered a classic by everyone who matters

 

im just saying theres a lot of people who dont know whats up cause it's lil wayne

Only Wayne I've listened to is Drought 3 but I like it a lot. Been slacking on the carter albums. Gonna listen to 3 tonight.

Depends. The hype/actual follow through with TCIII was so dope. What a time to be a hip hop fan. Dude had like 5 new songs dropping every week for a month/2 month stretch. I wasn't a Weezy fan during the rollout of TCII so I can't speak on that.

 

I wish I could find that full rar of those leaked tracks from 2007 that was labeled as TC3

I know at least some or most of these get talked about as being on the OG C3 but since I wasn't really around in 07 I'm not sure. Seems kind of weirdly hard to figure out what was meant for what.

I think part of it isn't her fault tho. When she was at peak and ppl acted like she was gods gift and was like the "acceptable" popstar to love even if you didn't love pop, and used her to trash other artists, it got so old.
