i only treat myself to sugared pop when i go out to eat, otherwise it's coke zero and lots of diet ginger ale for me

 

I don't buy soda for the house and only drink it if I go out to eat. that or lemonade. Trying to drink strictly water at home.


I feel like I knocked the thread off course but I can't think of an unpopular opinion rn. Oh! Sometimes being a pop fan and disliking Madonna and Gaga is a hardship. I don't mind some songs from each but I tried to bandwagon on Gaga when it was like blasphemy to dislike her but my wasn't in it! Kooky outfits and gimmicks def tricked a lot of ppl into thinking she was better than she was imo.

 

the outfits/gimmicks are whatever. Gaga does have serious pipes and at least on Fame Monster a perfect sense of pop-song structure.

 

I acknowledge she has a fine voice but I hate the way she tends to use it. Idk how to explain it. I just hate the way she sings. Maybe it's the inexplicable thing of me and theater kids never vibing. Theater kids and librarians tbh. Evil.

 

That's kinda funny about the theater kids. The theater kids at my high school were all super nice but I never vibed with that clique either, hard to put my finger on why.

 

I only drink coke zero now but I still drink way too much of it. Every so often if I'm feeling shitty I'll get myself a red coke.

 

The National only hit me when I listened to them at the right time emotionally. Im sure it will happen with the Antlers - Hospice. I haven't had a close family member die, most of my family who has were distanced from the family and I never knew either of my grandfathers.

Right now I really enjoy them and do think that's a very moving album but I don't really revisit it much. I listen to that Undersea or whatever it's called EP more often. Btw if anyone likes that Antlers release, David Bazan's new album Blanco is pretty excellent along those lines.

You meant to say their cranberry ginger ale. I can't buy it because I will drink half just straight from the 2 liter bottle the first day

Im also horrible with salsa. Don't share chips and salsa with me. You will lose even if we are not competing.

 

sometimes I forget how unbelievably sweet it is if I haven't drank it in a while. the carbonation was always my favorite thing.

Congratulations u played urself cause it's the opposite. When I moved to Oregon "pop" was one of the regional terms where I had no idea what it meant lol and it sounds so wrong even still. I cringe when I hear it

I tried to get the thread back on track but the lure of soda is too strong apparently! Oh well!

tbh i don't drink soda but if i do it's usually dr pepper or cherry coke
