It's directed at everyone really otherwise I would have quoted you. And I didn't say you weren't being respectful; I'm just saying that we all should be so please don't start an argument over something that really shouldn't be. I regularly post in these forums and have had no issues except healthy, constructive criticisms. For sure, I'm happy to listen to any critiques or flaws for a movie and discuss these but only if it's in a genuine discussion.

And I kinda agree with spoilers for Black Panther since it's still in the theatres but can also see why it wasn't spoiler tagged to apologies that this happened to you.

Nobody is going to point out the gaping flaw in the movie? I guess I will

No way would Stan Lee’s old ass be allowed to drive a school bus full of kids in real life. The movie is literally unwatchable

I speak up about my takes because this movie doesn’t exist in a fandom vacuum. At the end of the day it’s just a singular movie and I’m giving my perspective as someone outside the fandom and giving honest critiques.

As I said I did like the movie I just have a lot of qualms with the ending.
I’m also interested in watching some of the lead ups but 19!?? No thank you.

Iron Man 1, Avengers 1, the Winter Soldier, Guardians 1 & 2, Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther are the only one's I'd say to definitely watch. Not just because they're important to this one (some of them aren't) but because they're the best ones.

I'd maybe also watch Age of Ultron just because it has a lot of stuff that is important here in it (and introduces Scarlet Witch and Vision) but it's mostly just ok with some moments of greatness.

Do you think he sincerely wants to save life and that is being mixed with a destructive itch that he has? I can see suvivor’s guilt being in him and a fear that just because it happened to his planet that it will happen everywhere and that causes him to not consider other possibilities.

    I think a lot of people suggested 5;

    Iron Man
    The Avengers
    Guardians
    Civil War
    Black Panter

If you watch those, you'll get a good idea of where people stand, character arcs, etc.

I mostly meant if it was me you were talking about I want to know where because I don’t feel as if I’ve done the things in your initial message so wanted some elaboration.
And like I said I get if someone was just posting in this thread why they wouldn’t use spoilers but to reply to someone specifically who just said they hadn’t seen it is a low move IMO. I honestly didn’t read beyond the first sentence or two because I DO intend on seeing black panther so I didn’t want to spoil it

Add in Captain America: The First Avenger because that includes a major reveal in IW and Doctor Strange too if you wanna include the stones.

Yeah, which is why I like him. I do think he's conflicted but I definitely wouldn't say he's good. I think he probably thinks he is though but that's just delusional.

Okay, so now you're at 11/18. Not much help there.

Nah, that's bullshit. If you don't want previous movies in a series spoiled, don't go see the new one and post in the thread about it.

I mean I honestly think they're all worth watching at least once.... except for Iron Man 2]

My issue with deaths in this movie, and how it's currently being presented, is going forward, if someone dies, I'll just assume they'll bring them back in some form later. I don't like that.

Cool. Honestly the only one I walked away with an inspiration to see was guardians lol (and black panther but I already wanted to see that before)
Also lots of people in here were saying winter shoulder (edited to add LOL WINTER SHOULDER) is one of their faves so I want to see that.
The premise of civil war deff intrigues me so I’m into that.
I guess I’ll watch iron man/avengers for background purposes lol
Also I saw a little bit of the latest Spider-Man and did enjoy it so I’d watch that

Yeah I mean the Red Skull thing is cool just to know what actually happened with him, but it ultimately isn't 100% necessary to see at this point, in my opinion. And I did really enjoy Dr. Strange a lot (especially the visual effects, they were incredible and should have won the Oscar that year), but it isn't in the top-tier and this movie conveys the relevant information re: the Time Stone well enough I think.

Also even there I'm suggesting like ten more movies to watch lol it's hard to give a condensed recommendation list for this franchise.

I'm actually quite impressed on how they've handled Strange in these movies. He has some of the coolest action/fight scenes.

Ant-Man isn’t really important to Infinity War, but it is still a very fun movie to watch!

You don't like the idea of different people taking up the Iron Man mantle? Or someone else being "Cap". I think those iterations in comics are awesome.

Of course, but I do just mean the forum as a whole. We are here to discuss a movie that we all intend to or have already seen and no-one should be putting down comments because they simply disagree. It's not directed at yourself specifically so I apologise if it seems that way.

I can see where you're coming from, if you said you hadn't seen them then we shouldn't be spoiling the movie so again; sorry that happened. I also think it's safe to assume that MOST people have seen the lead up movies and spoiler tags would not be used to that effect however some haven't and that should be respected also.

I'm just simply stating that these movies have Infinity Stones which is what Infinity War is about.

Yeah I actually love that they're setting up either Bucky or Sam Wilson to take on the role of Cap going forward. It makes the movies even more like the comics (and I also just love Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stand, so I'm actually looking forward to it).

I guess. Hype has been insane for a ton of these movies before now, though, most recently just a few months ago. It's odd to me that someone would jump onboard now, when this movie probably demands prior knowledge more than any other film in the MCU. Even the last two Avengers movies have a lot more exposition.

It's not just you, but something I've seen a lot this weekend, including from the film critic at the New Yorker. I was commenting more on the trend than on your posts. To me, it's like picking up the last book of a long series you haven't read, or trying to watch the last episode of a TV show you've never seen before. I can't imagine it being a satisfying experience. But that's just me.

As for spoilers, they are fair game in this thread. We usually only ask people to spoiler tag things for a movie during the first weekend. Definitely not for older films in a series. There are tons of things in this movie itself that could be classified as spoilers for previous films.

I guess the only things that are necessary are really just information on the stones. It is hard to condense it into just a few movies haha

Paul Rudd is my favorite person so yes I would see it for that reason
