Fuck, for the love of everything this needs to be an extra scene on the blu ray release

 

Just watched it. I didn't love the ending because I think it just opens up too many glaring plot issues with the entire MCU run up to this point.

But I did enjoy the film overall, even if the general idea reminded me of the Family Guy where they go back in time to old episodes haha

I was enjoying the grittier scenes and wanted more of them. The big payoff scene was incredible though.

Solid "B" for me.

 

I mean my hottest take is probably that Dark World is top 10.

In the theater after my second viewing trying to collect myself lol was even more of a wreck this time. Wow. It’s easily just catapulted itself to not just my favorite MCU movie by a long shot but also in my top tier of favorites all time. It worked on every front for me. Only thing was a couple moments the score felt too generic for my taste and took me out but at the same time is still probably my favorite score of any in the series.

Hard to rank my first tier really. Other two are pretty much in order. Captain Marvel is the only one I haven't seen.

I can't imagine thinking Civil War was better than Winter Soldier other than fanservice of having so many heroes on screen together for the first time

 

Thor 2 is better than Thor 1. I truly don't understand how the majority of people seem to feel the opposite, never have.

 

I did when it first came out. Now Dark World is pretty handily my least favorite

Infinity War and Endgame are tied for me as the best. Both incredible.

I've only seen like the second half of Hulk, but feels like enough. I think I have Age of Ultron way higher than most, but I don't know I really enjoyed it. I genuinely enjoy them all disregarding Hulk, so even Tier 4 are still enjoyable movies that I'd have no problem watching.

 

What didn’t age well?

 

Yeah I can't see myself rewatching anytime soon, but I just watched them back to back in the last few months and liked it more. Started with Ragnarok and decided to finally circle back to those two. Was avoiding it since they weren't very well-received lol. I still found them more engaging than Captain America: The First Avenger.

 

Have they ever said why Civil War falls under the Captain America banner and not an Avengers movie?
