Those first three seasons of Arrested Development were something special.

Lucille Bluth is one of the great sitcom characters.

Oh no this one sucks!!! Lucille is a character I’ve only grown to appreciate more and more as the show has aged!

If Mitch Hurwitz was ever even considering making one more season, I hope this would put the final nail in that coffin. I remember they were talking about a movie at one point. It just can’t go on without her. Absolutely incredible performance and she was, for me, one of the more consistent characters I was always happy to see again despite the disappointing returns.

 

S4 may not be great but dammit this was so good.

 

I have a soft spot for season four. The following two...not so much.

 

No one has ever made me laugh as hard as Jessica as Lucille in the original three-season run, even on the 20th or 30th time I watched an episode (really not exaggerating I don't think). Truly the funniest TV performance ever if you ask me. Really sad we lost her, and still sad and mad that she was treated poorly on the show when she was the best fucking part of it. RIP.

 

Her reactions to Gene Parmesan are consistently one of the funniest parts of the show to me

So sad, such an amazing career

 

If you ignore the Netflix nonsense, it truly is the greatest comedy of all time.

 

The first three seasons would be, anyways. It definitely walked so Schitt's Creek could run.
