would be cool if apps like fitness+ could be accessed through tv+ without the tv brick

 

I'll try fitness + since I'll get 3 free months with the purchase of the new watch but I'm skeptical I'll keep it afterwards. But who knows, I've never used a fitness service like that so maybe I'll dig it.

What one feature do you love most about your current Apple Watch?

 

Honestly? Not sure lol.

 

I’m leaning towards a space Gray watch with the new saddle brown leather band

 

Just bought a year of fitbod the other day and have never had much interest in a smart watch but the product red availability and spO2 sensing (I have respiratory disease) have me intrigued.

 

I’m trying to decide if I want a watch but I don’t really “get it” if that makes sense. Like, my phone is with me always so what added benefit would I get?

 

Being able to go for a jog without my phone is my favorite thing. And being able to glance at stuff and interact with notifications at work without taking my phone out of my pocket.

 

I think the value of having an Apple Watch is dependent entirely on your lifestyle. I’m not into fitness, always have my phone on me, and don’t work a job where I can’t just look at my phone whenever I want, so for me it just doesn’t seem necessary at all, but I completely understand why others love wearing one.

 

You can write texts on it and talk into it for phone calls. also using it to ping my phone when Ive misplaced it underneath w/e stuff.

That being said mine is a Series 1 that was a hand-me-down and I kind dont care about it, only wear it occasionally. Most updates are kind of whatever IMO, and each time Im tempted to buy the newest one I just remember the like 37 other things Id rather get with that money.

 

…wait how are cases going to work on the new iPad Air’s Touch ID button? I haven’t handled stuff like the new Magic Keyboard but would you need to take it out each time to unlock it?

 

I would assume cases would just have a cutout for the power button, no?

 

went to order my wife's SE and it turns out apple will give me $140 for my S4 so as trade in - so, looks like ya boi is also getting a new SE for only $169

Fitness tracking is why i got it and is transparently and passively still my favorite feature. I was always on the fence about getting a pebble or fitbit so i was stoked to get the series 0 when it came out. When I upgraded to an S4 with cellular, it's so nice to not worry about bringing my phone with me places. IDK if that counts as a feature but if I just roll out of bed to go grab coffee or whatever, it's made super easy with the watch. With the new sleep tracking it's even cooler. This is like at least 3 things but yeah, it's so passively cool and maybe that's not the best thing but also... maybe it is?

 

2:15p CST and no iOS 14 yet. Anyone else?

nothing for me either - wonder if they are trying to get as many app update submissions approved as possible before launching

it updated for me like an hour ago and im central time zone but ive also been running the beta

so probably the GM seed (which is obviously the same thing we'll be getting sometime today)

 

go into the settings and check to see if there is an update. mine auto updated and didnt even pop. i just happened to go in there and it was already downloaded and preparing the update
