iOS 10 is weird. It introduces so many inconsistencies in the UI and the way it responds to touch. It's almost heading back to how it used to be pre-7.
The press to unlock is really inconvenient as well, especially on an iPad.

 

I love concepts. This is the rumored darker space gray, with the dark mode I've pined so long for.

 

This looks beautiful!

 

Apple is looking to buy Tidal to gain access to the exclusive artists.

 

I wonder if they are interested in implementing HiFi audio if the acquisition works out, or if it's simply just to buy a competitor to boost business.

 

All I want from Apple Music is to be able to swipe artwork to change track, the ability to scrobble (easily) and song/album sharing that matches Spotify.

I don't think the redesign introduces any of this. I still prefer the AM library and fact I can integrate my own music in to it + they treat artists better but It looks like I'm going to continue being torn deciding between the two services with iOS 10. Damn.

 

My only response to this really is at the end of the day, swiping on the album artwork would be no easier, or offer any time savings over pressing the skip button.

 

You're right but I'm not saying it's something the service absolutely needs, hence why I said "all I want". It's no ground breaking feature, but I've always found it useful and I doubt it'd be difficult to implement.

 

Anyone had this issue with iTunes? I'm adding artwork to this record, I tried both copying and pasting the image from the web and adding a saved image from my machine. When I click Accept, it'll show the artwork in my music library but won't move with the music to my phone, and if I re-open the song info pane, the artwork is gone. Only seems to be a problem for one record in particular.

 

I wonder if we'll get the public beta with Beta 2? I thought Beta 2 would be released this week so I didn't think we would get the public beta before Beta 3, but it's July now so we could get it with 2. I'm expecting Beta 2 on Tuesday, so public on Wednesday maybe?

 

My best guess would be one of the following:

Dev beta 2 this coming Tuesday ( the 5th), dev beta 3/public beta 1 two weeks later.
Dev beta 2/public beta 1 somewhere around the 12th.

 

Yeah I think the first is the most likely. I doubt they would take a whole month between Betas 1-2. I'm torn between wanting the new features now and not wanting the new Apple Music design anytime soon.

 

If it's a Windows pc, have you went to the source file in file explorer, right click, and make sure the "read only" box isn't checked?

 

Left Alone is the only song on California that won't download to the phone for offline listening. It is killing me.

 

I had this with Cynical for a day.

 

I've never really gotten into Blink so I downloaded all their albums for offline playing to Apple Music and that happened to me with Apple Shampoo. It downloaded eventually tough.

Did you do anything to fix it? Or just left it and it eventually downloaded? I've re-downloaded the album multiple times and sometimes it has the dotted circle next to it and other times it doesn't.

 

I readded it to itunes and right clicked > upload to music library. Then file > update music library.

That seemed to finally work.

 

so i have a 5s and desperately need a new phone - is the SE really the cheapest option for $400? i have no interest in at&t next (my carrier) or any sort of financing plan, just want to buy it outright but i remember always paying ~200 or so in the past

 

Anyone have issues with their Apple TV remote when the battery is low but not dead?

Mine wasn't even on red, looked about 3/4 empty, but the trackpad was not responsive at all last night- only the buttons. Charged overnight and no issues since..

I have the Apple TV 4

 

I've had it shit out on me for no good reason and do that sometimes ... had to power cycle last night and it was full on charged.
