You did. In reply to my comment "this is an issue many, many users have" you replied with "No it isn't."

Wether or not restoring it works as a temporary or permanent fix to the issue isn't what Chris or me or anyone else was saying. What I was saying is this is an issue that many people have had, and you replied by dismissing that

  2. That's fair / you two are the first I've heard of anyone having this issue

  3. But it'll be fixed if you restore your phone and set up as new

If I could just forget it

It's kind of amazing how an SSD and a few gigs of ram can revitalize an old macbook. I just upgraded my sister's 2012 mbp and it flies. For that fact alone it's well worth the money.

Still undecided if I will install the public beta on my 6S when it comes out. Not sure if the new features are enough to make me want to have a kinda buggy phone all summer again.

I installed the public beta from day one of release Last year and it was buttery smooth.

So I just got my new iPhone after making an insurance claim. I have to send back my old device which is broken and doesn't power on due to water damage. Is there any way I can wipe the data from the broke device? The only thing I can think to do is login to iCloud and set it to remote wipe when it powers on. But I don't think it will power on.

Edit: maybe I shouldn't have activated my new phone before trying the remote wipe because now only the new device shows up in find my iPhone and not the old one.

Can't you wipe it from iCloud.com?

well never mind. I was able to find the broken phone on find my iPhone via iCloud.com. It is offline because it is broken but I have it set to erase if it connects to the Internet which I don't think can happen. But I don't think there's any other steps I can take at this point. Oh well. Gonna enjoy my new 6S.

Yeah last year's ios 9 beta wasn't too bad. Anyway I know that I won't be able to resist installing the beta.

I've had this issue - I believe only when I edit info while it's syncing to iCloud which is my own fault.

Do you know how to fix this? I've had this issue with a ton of songs - even if I change their name to (Acoustic) etc. I just haven't looked into fixing it.

I've looked at the news app today more than I did in the past year combined. Love The design changes.

Please enjoy my moderately interesting anecdote:

I got my lock cut off my locker at the gym tonight while I was playing basketball. Did I get buckets? Yes, of course I did. Lots of them, actually, but come on, that's clearly not the point here. Everything was gone except the pair of dress shoes I changed out of - cards, driver's license, cash, clothes, car keys, house keys, work ID, AAA card, dress shirt, favorite pants, favorite belt, SUBWAY gift cards for God's sake... all gone. I run outside to check on my car - still there, thankfully. I don't fully understand the mind of a thief, so I have no idea if the jump from petty larceny to felony grand theft auto is nbd or if they just weren't impressed with my car. Either way, the car hadn't been opened, so they missed out on my ice scraper, a ticket stub for The Lobster (), and about $1.25 in change.

I go back inside to find I was one of five or six people to have their things stolen that night, so the police come and, as much as I would like to rag on them here, they did all they could, even though that was almost literally nothing. Can't call an Uber with no phone, can't get a cab with no money, can't call anyone without numbers, can't get numbers without my phone (two-factor ID for online logins, great idea S/T!!!), etc. Just in a really good spot all-around. Finally, one of the other guys who got his things stolen has a friend show up, they incredibly nicely offer to take me home despite my living in the opposite direction of their place.

I get home, grab my spare key, and have my roommate take me back to get my car... which was still there, again, thankfully. I drive my car back home and hop on my computer to take a stab at Find My iPhone. FMi says... it's still at the gym. And it's still on. My roommate lends me his phone to keep tracking it, so I put it in "Lost" mode and drive back to the gym, already picturing a Most Dangerous Game situation playing out, but hoping someone just turned it in. Nobody's turned it in, so I go wandering around the gym looking for my phone or my bag using FMi on my roommate's phone, this time picturing the thief spotting me looking and leading me in a chase identical to the opening of Casino Royale.

No luck on the floor of the gym, so I go into the locker room. The location thing is a little dodgy at extremely close range, so I don't even know that it's in there, I just know that I'm relatively close. Because the music wasn't blaring in the locker room the way it was on the floor, I use the "Make A Noise Or Whatever" feature and... I hear it... somewhere, I hear it. I go wandering around the locker room and find it coming from another locker with a lock on it. The gym cuts it off for me and lo and behold, all of my stuff is in there. I don't know if the person who took it saw the police investigating and decided to stash it, or saw my jump shot and tried to put it back out of respect but couldn't remember which locker was mine, but I don't care - I've got it all back.

Hindsight being 20/20, I should have done Find My iPhone the first time I went home, but I was still worried about my car getting extremely stolen. Either way, :apple::100:, and :spy::efu:. #itsmy2cents

Damn man. At least you got your belongings back! I don't know how I'd react in a situation like that. I'd probably be frantic and forget FMI even exists.

    http://m.imore.com/how-deleting-apple-apps-works-in-ios-10

Just like an App Store app, you begin the process by holding your finger down on the app you want to "delete". The difference is, when you delete a built in app, you don't really delete it. You do remove the Icon from the home screen, the user data, and the hooks into the system for things like default links and Siri handling. But, it doesn't delete the actual app binary.

That's awesome you got your stuff back! A very similar situation just happened to my coworker a week or two ago. A bunch of lockers at his gym including his got broken into and they stole his keys which has his work keys, house keys, and car keys. He was super worried about his car getting stolen so he ended up having friends help wait around by the car overnight to make sure it didn't get jacked.

Thank god you had Find my iPhone though!

Also as a note to everyone, if you use Find My iPhone, make sure you set it to send it's last location. That way if it dies while lost, you can still see at least where it was when it died. I learned that the hard way when I lost my phone last year.

Long-press on the tab button is iOS safari gives you a 'close all tabs' option. Nice. Been wanting something like that for a long time.

Two most improved apps IMO are News and Apple Maps. Also, the music app is growing on me, but I still want to see some revisions before release.

Okay so quick question if anybody can help me:

I have it set on my computer to where I can add songs from Apple Music to playlists WITHOUT adding them to my My Music library. However, those added songs DO appear in my music on my iphone......is there anyway I can access the playlists on my iphone without the songs showing up in my library?
