Hopefully they have the issue with album art fixed for the redesign if it's going to have that significant a focus on album art.

 

It doesn't. this is a recurring issue for many many people with Apple Music.

 

So apparently the new 3D Touch features they demo'd on stage yesterday will be available on devices that don't have 3D Touch. Confused.

 

What issue with the album art?

 

Wrong album art showing up for certain albums (On my phone Seahaven Artwork showing up in random other albums on my phone). No album art showing up on some devices even when it is added in iTunes and in the Icloud Music Library.

 

I've only had that issue with a couple albums. But Apple Music is all I use. So it sounds like it may be more of problem with iTunes? But I haven't issues with my phone crashing either when downloading music like some others have mentioned.

 

No it's a problem with Apple Music and metadata. This is only an issue on my phone and only since I used Apple Music.

There's also the issue I have discussed quite a bit here where acoustic, EP, and live versions are basically useless unless you specifically list them as such because ICloud Music Library consolidates them all into one and plays the album version instead of the acoustic.

If they fix these issues I don't care how it looks. But let's not discount these things as issues just because you don't get them.

Look, I know you get defensive any time someone brings up their issues with Apple Music. But the fact that you haven't had any issues with it does not discount anyone else's concerns or experiences with bugs or glitches

 

What have you tried to do to fix it? Are you running the latest iOS? Most likely. It's either corrupted software or broken code. Erasing and/or restoring your device and setting up as new will build new software and firmware on your device. That should resolve the issue. If you have already tried that but you restored from a backup on iCloud or iTunes then it's no surprise it is recurring because restoring from a backup will bring back that same issue.

I haven't heard any of these download issues / I downloaded 10 albums at once last night on my 6s Plus with no issues.

 

No I told you how to fix it and you simply stated that that won't fix it.

 

You don't think he tried resetting his device? You don't think I have? It doesn't always fix the issue. Sometimes it does, temporarily, but the bug keeps coming back.

There's like half a dozen possible solutions for a dozen problems with Apple Music.

That's an issue, no matter how much you say: "RESET YOUR DEVICE!!!"

 

The thing is you can't restore from a backup because it brings that issue back

I wouldn't call it a mess though. It's imperfect, but it's still by far the best option for me.

 

Who was discounting them? I don't use iCloud Music Library so I'm not eve sure of the problem you're having. The acoustic tracks you mentioned, are those personal songs from your own library that aren't available via Apple Music?

 

Yes. Or for example i used my download code for Bleachers's Demos EP that came out for RSD one year. And then I uploaded those local files to iCloud Music Library, while I downloaded the original album versions through Apple Music to offline mode. Apple Music merged both, so when I go to listen to the I Wanna Get Better demo version from that EP, it plays the album version. It's just frustrating that these issues still exist.

Yeah I could start from scratch and just remove all my local files and download solely from Apple Music, but I don't want to do that, and the demo versions aren't in the iCloud Music Library anyway

i guess i didn't have problems with apple music because i didn't have any "local" files on my computer. is that the issue you guys are having?

Listening to Mac Power Users right now and they mentioned that they were surprised Apple hasn't made the streaming service a separate app. Personally, I would hate this because I only switched to Apple Music since having everything in one place appealed to me. I do think Apple could do a better job of knowing what is yours and what is from Apple Music since that appears to be one of the problems @Craig Ismaili just described.

I haven't had too many issues with the service overall and I haven't played with the beta enough to comment on much other than the look of it, but I plan to get to that this week. If there's anything specific anyone would like me to check out and provide what feedback I can, I'd be more than happy to do that. Just a heads up I only loaded the beta to my iPad though.
