I'm having some wifi connectivity issues with my iPhone 6. In my bedroom my iPhone will not connect to wifi, but my MacBook Air has full strength. Any ideas why? Can I improve that on the iPhone?

okay, having my first real annoying apple music issue. had a download get stuck, and since then i literally have not been able to finish downloading an album offline. like, the "downloading" circle is there and unfinished but that one song won't go. i've tried everything, even accidentally fucked up all my offline stuff just to get this one fixed. any suggestions?

Yup. Rebooted the phone, turned off my library. Deleted the album, added it again. Even just removing the song, it keeps it like that in the Apple Music section, not just the my music section

Did a sort of workaround by downloading the album and adding it manually rather than using Apple Music, but now the art won't sync. Sigh

I don't hear a difference between Spotify and my CD rip from a decade plus ago.

 

The iPhone SE I ordered back on like April for work finally showed up yesterday. I'm gonna try to switch to it full time for a full week but man there are already somethings I just don't like. Some of them aren't on Apple per say, like my favorite Twitter app being unavailable obviously isn't, but some stuff about the OS really irks me so far. For starters LastPass is way less useful without a system level way to fill passwords. On android you can enable LastPass to "draw over" other apps so any time there is a login field you tap a box in the notification tray, or it comes up automatically, and it autofills the login info. On iOS it seems that sort of thing doesn't exist, or at the very least isn't implemented in LastPass and most of the time I have to manually copy paste from the LastPass app into whatever app I'm using. Some apps have implemented native support, which still takes me out of that app but it does autofill so Thats definitely good enough, but it's not a system level thing so it is only apps that build in support and most I've used don't including all my banking apps.

I'm sure there's a reason it's like that and I'm not necassarily saying its objectively worse but for me, who is used to LastPass working with every app and website all the time, it's definitely irking me.

Also autocorrect seems to get it wrong much more often than it did on my android phone but I suspect this is more because it hasn't learned the common ways I mistype words yet the way the Google keyboard on android has. Might get better with more time I'm only about 18 hours in at this point so I'm trying not to make any judgements yet

 

What's peoples thoughts on the Apple event coming up? We can almost guarantee an Macbook Pro announcement which I was looking forward to up till recently (think my next upgrade will be an iMac)

iPhone 7 rumours so far aren't looking like it's going to be a huge update. I mean I think we were spoiled a bit when the iPhone first launched as there was a lot of new technology coming about then. Obviously things are still expanding just at a slower rate and I don't think we will see the next real update till the iPhone 8 which if rumours are to be true will drop the home button completely in favour of a full screen.

Does anyone find apple ,pay useful?

 

I haven't used Apple Pay yet but the concept of it is the same as other NFC payment services and on my 6P I used Android Pay quite frequently. We're definitely not to the point where I can leave my wallet and cards at home yet or anything but it's a lot more convenient than cards for some things, and I don't feel like I immediately have to turn around and go home if I forget my wallet now.

Also the ability to add rewards cards, which I don't know if Apple Pay does because I haven't used it yet but I would assume so, was really great if only because I never remember my Bonus Card when i'm grocery shopping but my phone is always with me so I can just pull that out and have them scan a barcode.

 

Apple Pay/Wallet won't be come extremely useful for me until I can have my drivers license loaded into it. Right now, I still have a habit of pulling my wallet out for my debit card, but in the future I hope to have no reason for a wallet.

 

This error is infuriating. It just keeps popping up until you close iTunes and hope it's working a few hours later.

 

There is a bunch of icloud stuff down right now and has been happening over the last couple days...

Apple - Support - System Status

 

Even closing iTunes and reopening didn't help me. I'm terrified to sign out of iCloud Music Library because last time I did it, every Apple Music song I had saved in my library got screwed up (some deleted, some unplayable with "continuous" in the time field).
