Shout out to the Spigen Thin Fit case that saved my X's life today. I rarely drop my phone but it went down hard on to the sidewalk, bounced around and then I KICKED it in stride down the street. Somehow, it came out unscathed.

My wife helped me solve my constant back-and-forth between whether I need just an iPad or a MacBook - "just get both" - so proud owner of the basic 13" MacBook Pro - and still have my iPad Pro for when I want something super portable.

My iPad does 99% of the things I do with the MacBook - but I HATE touchscreens - I live in Florida and have sweaty hands. Constant screen grime.

A little off topic from apple specifically, but what does everyone have for phone carriers? I’m currently on Verizon on a shared data plan with my mom still (lol) and I’m looking to get my own plan before the X’s come out, but just want to see what other options there might be. Verizon seems like the most expensive, and have 3 different versions of “unlimited” which I wouldn’t even want the cheapest one if I did that. The only thing that sucks is basically the only two carriers that work in my area are Verizon, us cellular, and barely at and t. At and t doesn’t seem bad pricing wise, but I’ve heard nothing but bad luck with them from other people. For those on unlimited plans from carriers, how bad is the the deprioritization and throttling for speeds?

I have AT&T and it's better here than it used to be. I actually never have issues with it now like I used to. I'd say from an offerings/pricing standpoint Verizon and AT&T are pretty much one and the same. It's largely going to depend on your area and needs though. I'd say if the price is not an issue then Verizon is the best carrier overall.

Yeah, Verizon does fit my needs for sure. Biggest thing is coverage outside of just leaving the state of Maine and coverage in Canada (US cellular does not, other than some other states I don’t visit) Basically if I go north of my town AT and T is roaming onto other carriers except for a few towns all the way to the border of Canada

  13. I’m on T-Mobile and have been since 2002. Never had an issue and my prices are awesome. Plus I get MLB.tv free every year.

My itunes has been playing up the past 2 weeks. Assumed it would fix itself in an update. I have not added any new music or really done anything out the usual on it. But everytime i open it up, after about 2 clicks it just gives me the rainbow circle and makes me force quit. About to launch it out the window soon!!!

potentially dumb iPhone question: I've always upgraded/traded in in-store but may just buy my next one online from verizon's website; my question is what happens when it arrives? do you go to the store to activate it/deactivate the old? can i immediately start transferring from old phone to new?

Recently ported over to Verizon from AT&T and did the whole process online - also used to work for Verizon and to get the employee discount we had to do order everything online as well - overall the whole process is pretty headache free. Should come ready to activate.

If you are trading it in to Verizon they should also provide you with a mailer to ship the old phone back. However, if the device is completely paid off I would look into selling on Swappa (or eBay) because you might be able to get more for it.

Idk how you should feel about them, but each share is up almost 6% today. That's pretty crazy for such a gigantic company.

Haha I took part in their stock purchase program when I worked there so I wound up buying 3 shares for $96 each. I basically lucked out right before they split it.

I’m continually really impressed with the sound quality on my AirPods. I was expecting it to be pretty good after all the reviews I read, but I was still really pleasantly surprised when I actually started using them. Really balanced sound that sounds great with every genre of music I throw at them. After being a wireless headphones skeptic for the longest time, I can’t imagine going back.
