  1. Yeah, I have that in front of the keyboard, on the desk, and use it too. Helps with RSI for me to move between inputs throughout the day.

  2. iOS 12 Public beta has a weird issue with keyboards and scrolling, where I can’t actually read what I’m writing beyond a line or two.

Public Beta 2 fixed this for me. Did you update?

How is Apple at honoring their free one year warranty? I have an iPhone SE that's having issues charging and I'm bringing it in tomorrow night to hopefully get repaired, but I'm pretty limited on time before I leave on a vacation. I don't think I did anything to break it, but I have a feeling they're not going to fix it for free. Wondering if I should just save my time and go buy a replacement at walmart (really don't want to spend what little money I have left, but I need this phone by friday)

I can't make a single call or do any web browsing with the ios12 beta 2 on my 8Plus lol... wifi everything. At least I have my work phone for phone calls.

Is the device still turning on and charging? First thing they'll probably check is the port. Check/clean the port from debris to see if anything in there is causing the device to intermittently charge or not at all. If it's under the limited warranty, as long as there is no physical damage to the device or internal damage (liquid damage), if they deem a hardware issue after troubleshooting/testing, you should be fine. There's no repair for the charging port, and I'm going based on your post on what I would do during an appointment.

My SE was having trouble charging not long ago (wouldn't register it was plugged in). I panicked pretty hard cause I was definitely outside of the one year warranty but I tried cleaning the charging port and a truly shocking amount of dust came out. Works like new, now. Hopefully your issue is something similar.

If not, I've twice gone to Apple with a phone that stopped working in one way or another within the warranty period and walked out of the store with a replacement phone both times. So you may be covered either way.

I'm so bad at this. I still use Stock:

    Weather
    Mail
    Safari
    Clock
    Camera
    Photos
    Maps
    Calendar

Just never really made sense to switch most of these.

Of those, I still use weather, safari, clock, camera, photos, and calendar. So not far off.

I use all of those except weather. I also use the stock notes and reminder apps. There are certainly better and more robust e-mail apps out there, but I'm not much of an e-mailer anyways. Most of those sync across iCloud devices too, so that's another reason I stick with them.

I went over to the gmail app about a year ago. Works fine for what I need. Not a big emailer myself, but I check it each day to keep it up to date.

Most of my work stuff comes across through Slack so email isn't a huge priority for me. Weather is simple and basic and i love it, though i do sometimes wish I had a radar so i could see how long a storm is gonna last. Apple Maps has never caused me issues meanwhile Waze has tried to kill me.

Very curious that the 13” (non-touch bar) and the 12” weren’t included in this. Still wondering if they are going to blend those two into one device priced at $999 to replace the Air. Would make sense and would simplify the lineup.
