Ah... hope their stance hasn’t changed much.

 

The cold has really been messing up my 6S battery. Just went for a 15 minute walk and my phone went from 60% to dead in that time. Then when I plugged it back in it went back to 40%.

 

Welp, I ended up buying the nTB 13” Pro after realizing it was currently $150 off at Best Buy. Super happy I did. The Air screen would have been a poor, poor choice.

 

Hey guys so my Iphone 6s has been super laggy. I guess from the new iOS update. Any tips on how to make it faster and smoother again? Or do i need to just upgrade.

Yup. It’s 85 dollars‘ish via Apple. It’s been all over the news, Apple is throttling older phones to preserve battery degradation.

 

I don’t think getting the battery replaced is going to stop the throttling though. The throttling is in the OS.

 

It is related to the age of the battery. It’s well documented that putting in a new battery gets rid of the issues ... until they don’t haha

Just a quick message to say I’m still loving my iPhone X. The quality of the screen is insane.

 

I love my X as well. I’ve had it for just over a month, but don’t have a case yet

I did enroll in the Apple Care/iPhone upgrade program because when you are paying this much for a phone you may as well have the coverage and flexibility at that point. What’s another few bucks haha. I actually bought the black leather Apple case for my space grey device, but took it back because I had a personal moral crisis (I have been cutting out leather purchases) haha. And the silicone cases don’t offer any real protection so I have been waiting for something close to the Apple leather.

 

I feel your pain hunting for a good case! Leather is a no go for me too. I’ve got an Otterbox and I have to say it’s amazing. Solid back and actually protects the phone solidly.

 

I’ll look at Otter, but I only want a little protection. I would like to keep some sleekness, but I don’t want to go the Peel route and basically have nothing haha.

 

I really like this Spigen Thin Fit on my X. Gives it a little protection but also keeps a low profile.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will look into this one. I had a Spigen for my 6, along with a Peel case. I definitely preferred the Spigen.

 

I have a Spigen and I love it! I went caseless for 2 weeks, then I dropped it and the back cracked. After a crappy situation about the Apple Care I definitely ordered with Telus when I bought the phone but that didn't register anyway, I bought the Apple Care on the Apple website and was able to get it replaced a week later.

 

On an unrelated note, I would love for Discogs to update their app for the X. Hopefully that will happen at some point next year.

 

Took my 6S+ in today, and got the battery checked out. They ended up replacing the phone, and I can confirm that it is running faster. Let’s hope the battery lasts longer than before.
