Nah, it's the same as with TouchID, if your phone restarts/first boots up it needs a passcode before TouchID works too. Simple as that.

I can't justify spending that much for an Apple Watch. Insanity. Kinda pisses me off with how much Apple is charging for this stuff haha. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Not sure about the swipe from one side of the screen for function, that didn't really catch on for me when Google tried it on lollipop.

I was just using the 'compare specs' feature on the apple site and it had fast charging for iPhone 8 listed. 50% charge in 30 minutes I think.
